Many Generali customers appreciate the fast and easy online claims process, with many highlighting how quickly they receive reimbursement. However, some customers find the claims portal and the provider’s automated phone system difficult to navigate.
I contacted Generali Global and it was largely an interaction with their automated system. I am in the process of making a claim with my Medicare supplement carrier which is required prior to making a claim with Generali Global. It seem that this will take some time to resolve depending on how fast each of the entities respond. This is a small claim ($378) so it may not be worth the trouble.

The claim process was clean and easy. Gathering and transmitting the info is a little bit of a task, but I certainly understand why it’s necessary. Their response was quick and I expect a check in about a week.

The claim was efficiently assigned to an insurance rep. The rep reviewed my claim and additional info promptly. My claim was reviewed and approved for my full submission. I am fully satisfied with the outcome and the timing of the result.
Due to the Lufthansa Airline strike on Nov. 11 which resulted in a cancellation of my flight home from Spain, I had to extend my hotel stay for two days.
No help from Lufthansa who did not send me a cancellation notice, or even answer phone calls. Thanks to United Airlines I was able to confirm that my
flight was cancelled, and the UA agent was able to rebook me for a flight two days later. I submitted a claim to Generali Global Assistance for my hotel bill for the extra two days for travel delay. It took only two weeks for General Global to process my claim and issue me a reimbursement check.
I'm very satisfy with General Global and will definitely buy their policies again in the future.

First time user. Service efficient, easy to maneuver through. Will use again. However as I did not any claim this is a limited use review
They were not very helpful since it was on a holiday weekend and after hours. Couldn’t find a Dr for me to see (I ended up with borderline pneumonia) and I had to get an emergency flight home. Was given a reference number & told to file a claim later.

We purchased travel insurance before our trip with the understanding that we would be assisted should out trip be interrupted. I had a a first time grand Mal seizure while on the plane heading home. We were diverted to Hamburg, Germany with my wife also having her trip interrupted. After I was released from the hospital we were only offered compensation for my travel home. (economy not assisted). This was unacceptable. My wifes trip was also interrupted due to my medical emergency. I was in a weakened state and I had not fully recovered from the seizure or adapted to the antiseizure meds. We felt we needed to get home asap- and booked a business class ticket for which we feel we should be compensated.
I will also be submitting the medical bills incurred during this episode.
