Many Generali customers appreciate the fast and easy online claims process, with many highlighting how quickly they receive reimbursement. However, some customers find the claims portal and the provider’s automated phone system difficult to navigate.
The buying of the policy went fine. My interaction with your customer service came after our airline trip cancelled. As early as 9/27/19, I was having an issue initiating a sign-in and filling out the forms via your site...essentially the site was going down as I filled in information. On that same day, i spoke to Alexia She sent me the forms via email and I'm in the process of filling them out. On Friday/28SEP, I spoke to Allen about your weekend hours of operation in case I had questions on the weekend. On the OCT 1/TU, Mauricio advised me that the cost of the policy could not be included in terms of a recoverable expense.
Where I'm at today:
1. expecting to hear in less than two weeks about what costs are recoverable from the carrier/American Airlines that incurred after the mechanical cancellation of Flight 96/21SEP/2019/SAT from Philadelphia to Budapest, Hungary off of a connection that same day from San Francisco to Philadelphia. Subsequent attempts to get us to Budapest in time for a Viking River Cruise were not successful. Documentation to follow.
2. our plan also included an early morning flight booking from Nuremberg (last stop on the cruise) to (London) LHR on SU/29 SEP. I have one question pending with Lufthansa Airlines and expect that to be resolved before the American one noted above.

Trip had to be cancelled a few days before scheduled departure. Submitted claim approx. 10 days ago. Phone help was a great help in getting things started. I have always used squaremouth and have chosen Generali a few times now because they fit my need.
Customer Service was very helpful updating our policy when we had a last minute change of plans, resulting in a partial refund of our premium. Very impressed.
We have used Generali twice. Fortunately, we have never had a claim but we have had excellent customer service.
Generali was very prompt and professional.
It remains to be seen how efficient Generali will be with this claim. It is a minor claim of less that 30 Euros.
Don't buy hurricane insurance on your policy does8cover a thing unless you are sitting in your living room and starring at the stars. Your home has to be uninhabitable even though you are under a mandatory evacuation. Won't be buying from them again. And NOwould not recommended not to mention the customer svc lady I spoke with on the phone was very arrogant and could care less!

My only frustration was with the web site. Processing a claim was easy to complete.
Website was well laid out. I was able to easily compare policies to find one that fit my needs and budget. Customer service was helpful and purchasing was easy. Thanks. I will use your company each time I travel.
