The requirements are unrealistic for small items missing in transit. How can one make police reports when transferring from vehicles to airport and to vehicles? Also having to provide receipts for things that were gifts or purchased years ago is a dodge.
Had to cancel my husband's portion of the trip as he died 4 months before. Generali Global Assistance was very professional and paid the claim after securing approprIate info. We took this insurance because it offered coverage for pre-existing conditions. It cost a lot but we did recoup the full cost of his portion of the trip
We filed a cancellation claim with Generali Global Assistance due to an injury sustained just prior to departure. Generali made the process reasonable and were responsive in a timely and effective manner. I would recommend them to other travelers. Squremouth provided excellent service in offering insurance companies.

I’ll let you know more soon but buying and learning about the policies was easy. When I needed help for my son the assistance was fantastic and personal. I haven’t filed a claim yet (son got sick and flight needed to be delayed) but I’ll let you know.
