I read the insurance that I bought and it’s covered with the cancellation flight. When I made the call they said it’s covered cancelation on weather.
My flight was canceled without notification they told me when I checked in “ we didn’t have the seat for you and we need to transfer you to the other airline “ .

I am about to submit my claim to Generali Global. It took some time because I have to wait for the receipts and other e-mail from the baggage locators to make sure I can claim it all together in one claim. Is there any way I can fax the claim. There are too many attachments with it. Please advise.

We had to cancel our trip within a week of our planned travel due to illness. We filed a claim and more than 30 days after filling we have had no contact whatsoever. Why does it take so long to provide the insurance benefit that we had purchased?

My handbag was stolen during my trip. I was shocked when I received a claim rejection due to trip cancellation even though I submitted my boarding pass. It felt like Generali was just trying to reject my claim for whatever reason. Took a few calls and emails before my claim was reviewed again and partially approved. Did not like my claim experience with Generali and would not recommend them.

This was the first time I purchased travel insurance. I cannot compare it to previous experiences of purchasing travel insurance. I thought the procedure of purchasing the insurance was straight forward. No need to use insurance so can't give feedback.

The on line claim process was very clear and straightforward. They did require complete documentation (nothing unreasonable) and I had or was able to obtain everything they needed. The settled my claim (flight cancelation caused an overnight hotel stay) within a couple of days after I submitted the paperwork. I will definitely use them again for trip protection.

June 11: I have only had one brief conversation with customer service since our return. I had no interaction during our trip. United airlines delayed our outbound originating flight which caused us to fly two legs instead of one in order to get to our international flight from Newark to Johannesburg. We were downgraded from first class to economy on these two domestic legs.
June 27: United Airlines informed us early in the day that our evening flight from Cape Town to Dulles was CANCELLED. We were provided no options to return in international business class. As a result, we cancelled our flight with United and booked our return through another airlines which resulted in more air time and more costs, both.
