Many Generali customers appreciate the fast and easy online claims process, with many highlighting how quickly they receive reimbursement. However, some customers find the claims portal and the provider’s automated phone system difficult to navigate.
Very difficult to get information concerning coverage detail during trip.
Trying to return from Alaska to Myrtle beach S.C. during hurricane Florence. Limited hours long wait time and little help when needed

I had to change my travel plans due to family illness; had to fly to Medford, OR on 9/4. I got sick myself during this trip, and wanted to go to a doctor. It was within the coverage time frame, and wanted to be sure I was covered. I tried to contact them twice, but was only able to leave a message. They never returned my calls.
I was able to see my doctor on 9/10, the day after returning home.
I was quite disappointed with their no responce.

We purchased a travel protection policy from CSA through Squaremouth. Our flight was delayed which caused us to miss our connecting flight which caused us to miss the first two days of our cruise.
CSA found language in the small print and denied our claim. We had a "missed connection", a "travel delay" and a "trip interruption" all legitimate events that were covered under our policy, and at no fault of our own. CSA denied the claim after several attempts to get relief under this policy.
We purchased this policy in good faith to cover us for such events, but CSA would not honor the claim. We will never purchase another policy from CSA.
Why even bother with buying a travel protection policy if the policy underwriter will just find a way to get out of paying a legitimate claim? We urge travelers to buy from anyone else other than CSA.
Thank you. Jerry from Florida
We're sorry to hear about the circumstances surrounding your claim, and for not meeting your expectations. We want our customers to choose the correct policy to fit their needs and stress the importance of reviewing your coverage details via the sample Description of Coverage/Insurance Policy that’s provided at the time of purchase, and contacting (800) 348-9505 or csa@csatravelprotection.com with additional questions. The plan you purchased includes a variety of covered events under which we can provide coverage if you are inconvenienced during your trip. The plan is unfortunately unable to provide coverage for every event that might cause you an inconvenience.
Reliable
I provided all the paperwork and details regarding our trip interruption claim, and within three weeks I received a check from General Global Assistance. I was very happy not to have it disputed. I appreciate Squaremouth’s zero tolerance policy!
Generali’s response to my claim will be the deciding factor for any further ratings from me. I am about to do that now.
Claim is in process. I can not really answer the above questions accurately until that process is complete.

I found the necessary paperwork a hassle due to my injury restrictions but the company agents could not have been nicer or more helpful. Very happy with full refund.
Little help when we needed it. Had to file a claim after we returned, due to trip interruption by the airline. Had to pay up front for extra cost of flight and hotel and then file a claim. Other people, on same flight and cruise, had their insurance company take care of it at that time. Generali did pay off the claim, after we filed all the needed paperwork. We will purchase insurance from them again and make sure we keep lots of paperwork.
very courteous and knowledgable
Personnel very helpful when I contacted them with questions.
