Many Generali customers appreciate the fast and easy online claims process, with many highlighting how quickly they receive reimbursement. However, some customers find the claims portal and the provider’s automated phone system difficult to navigate.

Generali was totally responsive and helpful.
Price was reasonable, customer service was available.
There was a server problem while attempting my initial purchase, which did not allow my purchase to be completed. After going through the process a second time, the purchase was completed, but a double charge was made to my credit card. Calling Generali Global to report this, they said they only saw a single charge. When I had my bank negate the duplicate charge, Generali Global saw this as me taking away the only charge that they saw and they sent me an e-mail saying they were cancelling my purchase. I then had to dispute the original charge on my credit card to get all of my money back. I then purchased a different policy from another company.

I have not yet taken my trip. My trip is from May 12 - May 23, 2019. They told me that they changed the insurance to my new dates.
Please let me know what is going on here.
My travel partner was diagnosed with cancer two weeks after I took out the travel insurance with GGA and had to have almost immediate surgery. We cancelled the trip. It took months and two different Claims representatives to finally get my check to cover costs. I felt they were trying to prove my friends condition was pre existing which it wasn't. Frustrating.
I was very pleased with the service by Squaremouth. I am living in Italy and most companies would only insure us from our home in the USA to Egypt which we were visiting for only 12 days. Squaremouth gave us various options including a policy which would cover us for only the roundtrip from Italy to Egypt which was required by our tour company. Customer service was always available and helpful.

I am upset that Globali exception team did not cancel my policy despite my suggestion to hold the funds for policies I will be getting for 2019 travel. Reason for my request was that I had another policy that I had forgotten about. I made the cancellation request just a few days outside the look-back period, during the holiday season. I feel Globali should have accepted my request. Now that they did not, they gained a few $$s but lost a future customer. I will not at all consider Globali for my furture travel needs!
