We have used CSA a number of time over the last 10 years. We have filed two claims; one for trip interruption and the other a medical claim. Both claims were paid in full. CSA rates and coverage are very competitive but the policy is a little difficult to understand.

It is very stressful when you need to make a claim. Even if you have knowledge of your protection, you have to allow a certain trust that this will be handeled in the manner you might expect. I felt that CSA reps definitely were aware of my stress factor and did everything to communicate with me clearly and quickly. I highly recommend them.

I have spoken to one of your representatives and will be filing a claim. I was diagnosed with a torn/detached retina 36 hours prior to my departure for Alaska.
I was extremely disappointed that I could not travel with my friends to Alaska. On the other hand I was totally grateful that it was diagnosed and the surgery performed before the retina detached completely. It will be another two weeks before I have sight in the repaired eye. I have limited sight in my other eye. I have asked a friend to help me this week with completing the necessary paperwork for the claim. All the best, Lucy Whitworth
On the way home from our trip on 7/21 I called your emergency assistance inside the US to report I would be filing a claim, since I had to utilize the Anchorage hospital ED on 7/6. The agent assigned a claim number orally and said she would send proper paperwork via email so I could submit once my insurance company replied to me. Since I found nothing in my email, on 7/26, I used your regular customer claims number, since it was within business hours, spoke to Patricia, who did an OUTSTANDING job listening to my concerns and immediately sending the required forms via email.

Purchasing something like this for the first time can be a bit scary since I did not know what I SHOULD be covering. The representatives were patient and nice in answering questions that they probably heard a million times before, yet I never felt rushed or that they were impatient with me. Thank GOD we did not have to use any of the provisions as our cruisetour went smoothly but it was comforting to know we were covered for any emergency that may have occured. Thank you for nice patient people to help us with our insurance coverage for the trip.

I bought insurance for this trip after having purchased CSA Travel Protection Insurance for many trips. Only this summer have I had to file a claim with CSA and I expected my pending claim to be handled professionally as soon as I submitted requested documentation. The initial response after my claim was received May 1 was that they were experiencing heavier than normal volume and I would be receiving a reply when possible. I received four e-mails with this same message. In June they requested more information which I provided. Ac cording to two e-mails (one in mid-June and another in mid-July), they are waiting for more information from my doctor; however, according to the doctor's staff each time they have not received any unanswered requests. I am very dissatisfied with CSA Travel Protection and this is an opportunity to express that. Several years ago I purchased travel insurance from Travel Pro and only once had to file a claim. That claim was promptly addressed to my satisfaction. My travel agent recommended changing to CSA a few years ago so I did.
I have recommended Squaremouth to a fellow travel and am happy with your service.
