Many Generali customers appreciate the fast and easy online claims process, with many highlighting how quickly they receive reimbursement. However, some customers find the claims portal and the provider’s automated phone system difficult to navigate.
I bought insurance for this trip after having purchased CSA Travel Protection Insurance for many trips. Only this summer have I had to file a claim with CSA and I expected my pending claim to be handled professionally as soon as I submitted requested documentation. The initial response after my claim was received May 1 was that they were experiencing heavier than normal volume and I would be receiving a reply when possible. I received four e-mails with this same message. In June they requested more information which I provided. Ac cording to two e-mails (one in mid-June and another in mid-July), they are waiting for more information from my doctor; however, according to the doctor's staff each time they have not received any unanswered requests. I am very dissatisfied with CSA Travel Protection and this is an opportunity to express that. Several years ago I purchased travel insurance from Travel Pro and only once had to file a claim. That claim was promptly addressed to my satisfaction. My travel agent recommended changing to CSA a few years ago so I did.
I have recommended Squaremouth to a fellow travel and am happy with your service.

We had to cancel our trip six days before leaving, due to a major problem with my wife that required a two week hospital stay. My wife came home from the hospital on Jun 8 and I sent my claim with all the backup info for filing on June 14.
The claim amounted to less than $300.00 . It could have been $4000.00 had I not gotten a last minuet replacement for our trip.
I paid $401.00 for the insurance and expect no run around.
Today they're asking for more info. on a $62.00 charge. I provided more information than was needed.
I used other travel insurance co. in the past & they always paid quickly if needed.

The only concern I had was after I bought the insurance two tropical depressions formed. I felt more reassured because I bought the policy but was still a little worried.
In the end everything went extremely well except for the airline. The airline was a cheap airline that had hidden costs for luggage I was not aware of.

They were fine. I called them to make sure I understood the pre existing condition - my husband has a stent but they said it wasn't a pre existing condition. Luckily didn't have to test what they said!
