I have been diagnosed with cancer and had to have surgery that turned out to be the same day as the date of departure. I had to cancel our trip. The biggest issue I had was acquiring the required documents from the cruise line. It was a little difficult submitting a claim to Generali as the website would freeze at times when trying to upload the required documents. The claims was approved and I am overall satisfied with the service provided.

I needed to correct the start date on the policy relatively late and close to departure. They accommodated by request promptly. This gave us peace of mind prior to the trip
Generali was not responsive after I submitted my claim with all the necessary papers. I left messages with my claim agent, Catherine, and never received a return call. She just kept sending emails, stating that I did not submit what was needed, but would not explain. I also did not get a return call from her supervisor, Luis, when I asked for help.
I decided to call Squaremouth and scheduled a call with zero complaint agent, Mari McIver. She quickly contacted Generali and was able to resubmit my information, so it was acceptable to them. She is competent, knowledge, and most responsive to my situation and needs.
Because of Mari and her abilities, I will continue to use the Squaremouth Insurance exchange. She even helped me navigate the poorly designed initiation form, so I will now be receiving my reimbursement. She is an exceptional agent!
