Your CSR Courtney is taking responsibility for answering my question to her after I got back home: "Why was I not able to get through to the emergency 24/7 phone service when I called twice on Sunday evening March 18 (Eastern time) while I was in Cairo having problems with my airline connections?" She called back after three days to report they're still looking into it.
I called twice using Skype from the Cairo airport (between 3 and 4 AM, Cairo time)and both times the number auto-answered but I was kept on hold for 10 mins the first time and 20 minutes the second without any human response.

The insurance coverage provided for $500 in emergency cash. Because of a theft I did try to use this service. It took multiple calls and over 5 hours for the inurance company to discover that funds could not be transferred into that country after all (country regulations). I would expect the company to know this up front, since they are aware of the country(ies) to which you are travelling. Hardly a life threating issue, but an annoyance nevertheless.
