Called to see if I was covered for a trip delay due to a mechanical problem on the ship which was the original cause of delay in the trip. Then a death occured onboard which caused cancellation of our visit to the next port. The rep didn't seem to know the answer and had to refer to the policy which had no clear explanation of this type of situation. Although I did not incur any additional costs due to cancellation of the next port, we were forced to stay onboard until the death investigation was complete and we were not able to get the full day at the port we were delayed at. I was surprised to be told there is no restitution for that given we did not get the full trip in. I have been told many insurance companies do cover these type of incidents and is a good reason to have insurance....just not this company I guess :(
