Our claim is hopefully not closed. We are very unhappy with the response so far. We filled out the initial questionnaire and sent in the requested documents. We eventually received a second request asking for documents which were covered in our initial submission which suggests that no human had reviewed our application. We sent in a message and more documents explaining that Lufthansa had never provided us with documents regarding our flight changes because they were all made on line. We had provided proof of purchase and refund. We explained that after a lengthy process we were able to submit a request for a hard copy of the buy and cancel information and that Lufthansa said they have been busy because of their extended strike but said they would respond eventually. We told General this information and asked that our application remain open longer than the usual twenty days.
The bottom line is that we are very disappointed and would like to hear from someone who obviously has looked at our claim application. We would never consider using General again for our insurance needs.
