I was satisfied with everything from purchasing the policy to traveling and so on. However when I contacted customer service it was impossible to speak to an agent for questions prior to filing a claim. I was force to navigate and listen to an inflexible unintelligeable machine. Therefore left alone to figure out how to file a claim or if I even should file a claim.

When filing a claim online it
Kept saying error when I tried to upload supporting documents ( they were well within the file size). It was impossible to speak to a human. The documents they are asking for are absurd!! They want a letter from British Airways stating why the flight was delayed!!! Absurd! I will have to submit the claim via email with about 40 supporting scans of documents that will be a full time job and I am sure 40 files will be to big.

The only frustration was the web page which was not completely functional via a cell phone while abroad. The device in this case was an apple iPhone and safari. Thank goodness I could return home, decommission and then complete filing a claim using my pc
Our first flight was delayed on June 14th so much that we missed our connecting international flight. I called the 24 hour Generali help line the woman I spoke with, Shay, was very helpful and we understand that we can get the costs incurred through this trip interruption covered through the travel insurance we purchased. We filed a claim on Sunday, June 25th and are still waiting to hear back from Generali (today is July 1st). We are hopeful that the trip insurance for trip interruption will allow us to recoup the money we spent and lost due to our trip interruption. Our interruption resulted in a 24 hour delay in getting to our destination of Edinburgh, Scotland.
Also, I want to be clear that the email received from you requestions our feedback mentioned COVID-19 interfering with our trip. This is not the case at all. COVID had nothing to do with our trip interruption. It was all due to Delta flight delays. Thank you, Julie Fitch

I asked the assistance center while traveling whether they covered a particular experience. They told me they could not tell me. They would have to wait until I filed a claim.
When I got home and did file a claim, I spent one hour trying unsuccessfully to upload documents to their claim website. When I finally got someone on the phone.
they told me the website frequently had problems uploading documents and I could send it by my claim by email. But I had to start from zero and rewrite the entire explanation and fill in all of the information manually. It was a very frustrating experience.
