The rate of Generali Global Assistance is very competitive. It's coverages on various areas. Due to the plane (Air Canada) being delayed over 24 hours, I lost a whole day in Auckland, lost one-day hotel plus one-day excursion. I filed a claim on 4/3/23. I only received an email stating they have received my claims. That is all. No other email or person contact me. When I called, it is only recording voice mail. And gave me an email to file claims. No life person to answer my call or emails. It showed a Q &A saying it takes 30 days for filing a claim. Today is 4/26/23, no one send me any information on the progress of the claim. No life person will answer your phone call. This is not satisfied with my claims.

While my wife and I have insurance including some travel insurance, I find that there are sometimes loopholes or circumstances that are not covered to our satisfaction. Claim was handled in full within 5 weeks. The only issue was the lack of contact or feedback. We didn't know where we stood other than an indication that the "claim was submitted." Otherwise the documentation and claim process was very easy. I would use Generali again.
Filling my claim was easy. However, I did not want reimbursement by Zelle. I emailed GGA expressing this, but I have not yet received a reply. I want a check for the $60 reimbursement.

As I recall, the Policy referred to certain requirements for covid illness to qualify, but did not say what those requirements were. I recommend they be written on the policy. I called a service rep, who was very helpful and called me back with the info.
