We purchased this policy prior to a whitewater raft trip in Idaho. The policy only covered the non-refundable cost of the whitewater trip itself. I purchased air travel with refundable miles, and other reservations were also made using refundable terms. The policy was reasonably priced and provided all the coverage that we needed. This is not our first policy purchased on SquareMouth, but the first policy purchased from Generali.
About a month before the trip, we had to cancel the trip because my wife was diagnosed with a critical illness that required both immediate and extended treatment. We found all of the information and forms online to file a claim. We received a check in less than 10 days. There were no hassles, delays, or requests for more information. We are very satisfied with this purchase through SquareMouth, and the response from Generali Global Assistance when filing the claim.

Generali came through appropriately for our claim. Everything that was reasonably expected was reimbursed, includinmg one $700 medical item that was appropriate but could have been resisted. My only concern is that reimbursement took longer than I had hoped -- about a month whereas I'd have hoped it was under 2 weeks. Regardless, I'd use them again.
