Many Generali customers appreciate the fast and easy online claims process, with many highlighting how quickly they receive reimbursement. However, some customers find the claims portal and the provider’s automated phone system difficult to navigate.
They asked me to prove the cause of a delay in my travel, in the face of clear evidence that it was delayed (as the airline put me up for a night due to the interrupted service). But they asked me to get in touch with the airline to get the exact cause of the delay. As a global travel insurance company, they have far more access to that information than I do. The fine print will of course get your claim denied.

Could not talk to a human. Messages said could only apply online. Wanted to know if my problem which was theft or loss was covered. Claim is completed application now awaiting response.

I was called and asked to submit all my receipts again. When I asked if my type of claim was actually covered I was told no and process ended. I was unable to get someone to answer the phone when I called customer service the first time or I would have never submitted the claim. I was directed to automated answer only. The last person handling the claim was more knowledgeable.

I got covid during a Globus bus tour and their policy prohibited my husband and I from continuing on the bus tour requiring us to get a train back to Glasgow and pay for 3 nights in a hotel waiting for our original flight. I submitted a claim but now 30 days later I haven't heard anything and can't figure out from their automated phone line how to get a real person on the phone.
