IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
My experience was entirely online and straightforward. When my travel plans changed I had to increase my coverage and did so witout any problems.
I will NEVER insure a trip through IMG again! I had 2 claims with them at the same time. A trip interruption claim filed May 27: After much back and forth, they kept asking for information already sent, they finally paid the claim on August 27. Almost every inquiry call was met with “give it more time” instead of actually looking into the claim.
I was very happy with the Squaremouth support. IMG was OK considering I was told that they had a lot of claims. But, they could have provided a better update procedure
I tried to buy additional insurance and they didnt get back to me in time. When they finally got back to me it was just a couple of days before the trip and I thought it was a good risk to not buy any more which it was.
I made an error on the dates I needed, called to get it corrected.
I had no interaction with IMG at all.
Customer Service was very helpful with changing the dates of coverage when we altered our travel plans prior to our trip date.
Also, our return flight was cancelled due to bad whether and we unexpectedly spent two more days in France until we could get a return flight. I called Customer Service to discuss the issue and found them to be empathetic and helpful.

Submitted a $727.12 claim to IMG for hotel and meal costs incurred due to a two day delayed return from Paris because of a cancelled flight. We were notified that we were eligible for a $500.00 reimbursement. For some reason, they decided to split the reimbursement. I received a check for $250.00 but my wife did not. After waiting a few days, I sent IMG an email telling them that. I also called IMG. They told me that they would "escalate" the claim. After not hearing anything for a few weeks, I called IMG again. They had no record of my call, nor was the claim escalated. They did, however, have my email. I was again told that the claim for the missing $250.00 would be "escalate."
We have still not received the second $250.00 check.
Easy to purchase.
I have a terrible experience communicating with them after I file my claim. It is a night mare. I sent my claim on July 18 and sent them all documents after 30 days they asked for documents I called them and asure me that they have them. I submeted what they again. and the sent me aletter askink again I CALLED again and submeted again and again!
I am abroad and cannot receive phone calls but I can receive Whatsapp calls
