IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. Some customers have experienced difficulties with the online claims portal and uploading documents. However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
I had to file a claim because I fell on my trip. This company reimbursed me the amount of the trip. I was very happy about the service I received. I would definitely use them again!
SAME GREAT PRODUCT & SERVICE AS ALWAYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The process of filing was pretty complicated, because I had to turn up all my flight itineraries, boarding passes, and receipts. A default sum for meals and missed accommodations during the flight delay would have been great, as the extended travel delay meant that I was a bit scattered and lost some of my receipts. Still, once I had the claim in, there was no further hassle, and they paid most of my claim even though I didn't have receipts for everything.
Claims are in process. Customer service representative (telephone call) directed me to the website to initiate the claims process. Very time consuming and detailed. Await necessary information from the airlines to complete.
The website was very clear when purchasing an insurance plan. I am awaiting documentation from the airline in order to file a claim for trip interruption due to plane mechanical issues. I spoke with a representative who was very helpful with helping me prepare to file my claim. Thank you.
It is really too early to be sure. I had a severe medical issue and was unable to go on my trip. I filed for reimbursement of the cost of a cruise and submitted all of the documents that appeared to be required but I have not yet gotten any response from IMG. I was told that I would hear from them if they needed more documentation but absent any response from them I can only assume that I submitted all of the required documentation. It wouild have been helpful if they informed me that they received all of the necessary documentation. I am awaiting their decision and will be better able to confirm my experience after I hear from them.
I submitted the claim form and receipts. This is my first claim ever after buying multiple policies yearly. I hope it goes well.
We had to cancel our trip due to a medical emergency with our pet. I contacted IMG prior to submitting the claim to find out exactly what documentation was required. After gathering the documentation, the claim was submitted. It took just over 10 days to receive a response from IMG stating certain items were missing in our class. Those missing items however were included in the multiple documents that were uploaded for the claim. I called IMG again to ask for clarification on why the information previously submitted did not satisfy their requirements. The representative reviewed all of the documentation that was submitted and agreed it appeared to check off all the boxes. He suggested I respond to the email that I had received asking for clarification so that I could gather more documents to submit. I responded to the email, and received what appeared to be an autoresponse thanking me for submitting additional documentation (which I have not submitted) and did not address the questions presented. I replied back with the same questions needing to get specifics for submitting additional documents, that email was a week ago and has yet to be read by the recipient. One of the missing items in question was proof that we were not reimbursed by the travel company for our trip. I submitted an email from the travel company stating how much we had paid and that the trip was nonrefundable. I still do not know what that is not sufficient since my emails go unread.

All required documentation was provided with the initial claim submission. (I had called IMG to inquire about what specifically would be required prior to filing the claim.) After receiving a notification that more information was required, I emailed them to ask what exact documents they needed since all the documentation had previously been submitted. I received no response. According to the Mailsuite tracker, the email was never read by IMG. I created a new email with the same questions and sent it, but it too was never read nor responded to. I called IMG and spoke with an agent who looked over all the documentation I had submitted and said it seemed to go above and beyond what was required. I was advised to keep emailing them until someone responded. I signed in to the claim portal and uploaded copies of both emails, showing where they had never been read. The emails laid out in detail what was required to be submitted and what I had previously submitted. I requested that someone reach out to me to let me know why the detailed documentation did not meet their requirements and what they required exactly so that I could submit any additional documentation. Again, there was no response giving further explanation. Several days afterward, I received notice that the claim had been paid, and I verified that the deposit was made to our bank account. The process with IMG was not satisfactory due to their lack of communication. The agents were very nice, but they did not have any ability to contact the persons approving/denying claims and were not able to help with the process. The company needs to improve communication. A client should not have to make that many attempts to complete a straight-forward claim. I would not recommend IMG moving forward.
The interaction with the customer service people was fine, but the form to file the claim is incredibly difficult--worse than a ten year tax audit, even though on the phone the IMG people said that "filing a claim would be easy!"
Easy to purchase the plan. For me- it's just the peace of mind. Spent a lot of money on a dream trip- this was a good protection from the unexpected "surprise" . I had called with a few questions before I purchased- very easy. Had checked reviews and found them to be good. I would use again in the future- hoping I don't need it!!!!
