IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. Some customers have experienced difficulties with the online claims portal and uploading documents. However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
I am very pleased that when we provided all requested information, IMG had no further questions and promptly returned my own $6000 claim based on my partners broken ankle. Curious that her own claim for $6000 with same information was not approved until 3 weeks later, but I just received it so I am a happy camper and we will DEFINITELY purchase our next international travel insurance from SquareMouth and IMG!!
Thank you very much, Michael
Very easy to add extra days and flight costs.
during my stay i needed to extend my trip. i contacted img via email and voice mail and never heard back from either. i then reached out by phone and was on hold for almost 1hour. they would not let me extend my coverage. they said i need to let them know the extended date prior to departure. i could not possibly know that i would be needing to extend my trip before I got there. i was taking care of a family member recovering from surgery and her 2 week old baby. how could i possibly know the family person would have escalating medical needs requiring me to extend my visit. they said i had to buy a new policy at a price point i could not afford so i had to go without. i think some type of exception can me made. i am grossly unhappy with; the customer service
Trip cancelled due to war but apparently policy doesn’t cover that. The tour group plans to just “postpone “ the trip for 1 year but the insurance company will not tell me if the current policy can be extended.

The trip was canceled and though a claim was filed, since the cancellation was due to war we were not covered. However we did end up getting most of the trip refunded and are only out a deposit and travel insurance. Lessons were learned.
Process was simple. Our flight out was cancelled and I contacted customer service prior to purchasing a new flight to see if it would be covered. The agent was also very helpful.
We needed to cancel our cruise three days before we were scheduled to depart because I fell and broke my hip. I filed a claim with IMG and within two weeks the claim for the amount of the cruise was refunded.
I was very pleased with my experience with IMG.
We needed to file a claim for delayed luggage. Items of clothing in the delayed baggage were needed for our helicopter ski tour so we had to purchase new items. I had some questions about filing the claim and I called customer service twice. Both persons I spoke to were very helpful and had good customer service skills. Now I will wait to see if my claim is processed to give us the $300 per person that we requested.

Our claim was processed very quickly and we have received the money in our bank account within 2 weeks. The process was very easy.
We had to cancel due to a serious health event to Jerome Fee. Our dealings with I M G have just started
We bought 2 policies from IMG in the last year. Our 1st trip was to Canada. While there, my wife fell and broke a tooth and injured her face. We saw a Dentist and went to a local ER for a CT scan of the face. When returned, we filed claims for the Dentist visit (that we paid in Canada) and the Hospital visit that we did not. It was always easy to reach a human during the process. The Dental reimbursement was quick and full. It took about 2-3 months for them to pay the hospital directly. We were very happy with the service we received from them.
More recently, we were supposed to travel to the Middle East just as the war broke out and our flight was cancelled. Again, it was very easy to reach a representative and they were kind enough to let us use the premium that was paid for the cancelled trip in a future trip within 2 years. I don't think that this situation is covered in the policy, but they agreed to that. A similar situation a few years ago with a different carrier, resulted in a prorated small credit.
This is a 5 star company!
Signing up was easy. No problems.
