John Hancock customers praise the provider for their helpful customer service, especially when modifying existing policies. Some customers report slow communication and time-consuming paperwork when filing a claim.
No gripes about the service especially when they adjusted my policy dates due to a change in my trip dates. I would definitely use them again.
BUYER BEWARE! I was informed that the company would help me and be there for me every step of the way. Then I went on my trip and I actually had a legit problem and found out how little help the company was willing to give. Suddenly the help was not at every cost it was very specific and the clause to cancel for any reason that I paid extra for was suddenly not valid anymore. I want a refund but they will not issue me that. I want to be covered for things that I was told I would be covered for so I can get my money back. But apparently this company is simply a ruse to con people out of their money that they could be using if something happens on their trip. If any people are considering buying are reading this DO NOT BUY. BUYER BEWARE.

A medical claim from France of 31 dollars was handled without a problem. (The premium was 40 dollars.) I have no idea how a larger claim would have been handled.
The initial contact person could not get my wife's name right and after several calls, the revised documents still showed the name misspelled. However, after just one phone call to John Hancock the issue was resolved.
My husband was hospitalized for two weeks and then to rehab........still there. Couldn't leave for the trip and still trying to get the
reimbursement. Just takes time and cooperation from the doctors writing what's required.,...which is nil. Will get hospital and
rehab data in place of direct physician response.
Seemed to experience unnecessary and repeated confusion with the title of important docs rec'd after purchase. Policy repeatedly referenced a Confirmation of Benefits, however, only doc received that closely resembled that was a Summary of Benefits. Finally had to speak with a Seven Corners rep to confirm they were intended to be the same doc. Sloppy. Insurance docs have a specific title for a reason. Also, there was NOT a field to enter AD&D beneficiary details [for included coverage] at the initial purchase stage despite Squaremouth telling me there was, however, gave that info to same Seven Corners rep. The policy provided what I wanted to purchase, however, it's delivery was not as smooth as I think it should be.
I am very pleased. I have recommended this agency to my friends.
The entire process was smooth. The insurance made me feel more confident toward my travel plans ..
My flight was delayed for 14 hours. I was in Cancun and needed to come home. I tried several times to call insurance carrier to verify coverage for booking replacement flight. I was not able to connect with anyone.
Then my daughter-in-law also attempted to reach out to them in my behalf . To no avail Sunday 7/31/16. Very disappointed with customer care.
It was a long ordeal getting home the next day.
I'm intending to make a claim. I'm hoping to have it easily resolved.
