Many Arch RoamRight customers highlight the provider’s quick claims process and compassionate customer service representatives. However, some travelers report that updates on their claim status are rare, and gathering the needed documents for claims can be challenging.
Contacted 24 hour assistance by mistake but they connected me to RoamRight customer service. Am in the process of filing a claim but must attempt a refund by the airlines first which, as I understand it, takes a minimum of six weeks. I also need to file a claim against a hotel but plan to file that claim with the airline claims. I was unable to travel due to intense back pain. Also had to get a letter from my doctor detailing reason for no travel. Hope to file during early June.

After reading the fine print in the policy, I have submitted a claim to my own insurance, Uniform Medical. I also spoke to one of your representatives and was told that my insurance must pay first before Roam Right would pay any remaining costs. I was also told that I would have one year to file a claim with you. If I misunderstood the Information I received or was given incorrect information, please let me know.
My claim experience is not really valid as a claim has not been submitted. However, I do wish I had read the policy carefully and would not have selected the medical portion.

We travel at least three times a year, and over the years have had several companies provide us with travel insurance. Through experience, we have discovered that Arch Roam Right is BY FAR the most helpful and responsive company with which we have had dealings. I rarely have needed to make a claim, but when we did, we followed their instructions carefully, including all the requested documentation. They did not write back requesting more or different information (we submitted everything requested) or demanding things we no longer had access to, or unnecessarily dragging out the claim process when it's clear the claim is valid and everything is above board. Other companies have not behaved in such an ethical manner and occasionally I have had to lose my temper at them. Not so with Roam Right- - do yourself a favor and get their policies! The claim was paid promptly and in full, no haggling, no upset, no discussion, and that is as it should have been.
Also, when we have had need of their concierge help abroad, they have been wonderful and don't leave us hanging with no support. Kudos to them for being such a great company!
Hours before our flight, my daughter became very ill. I called RoamRight's customer support line, and they let me know right away that I needed to cancel my flight with the airline and then file a claim with them.
I filed my paperwork for my claim; it was approved 3 weeks later and I had my check within a couple days for the amount I was expecting. My only complaint was that I wish it had been a little shorter processing time, but overall, it was a great experience. I will be purchasing travel insurance from them again in the future!

I had no dealings with RoamrRight when I purchased the insurance - only Squaremouth. When I couldn't travel because of a medical issue I filled out all the paperwork with RoamRight to get my claim money returned to me as well as my traveling compantion's, my sister. After quite an ordeal of paper filing I finally received a check for less than half the proper amount and my sister didn't receive any check. After SEVERAL phone calls to RR, the employee in their claims department who was handling our case said they'd cut a second check for the remainder of the claim money to both my sister and myself. My sister still hadn't received her first check. It turns out they'd mailed the checks to my winter address in Arizona with my sister's not being put in care of me. I assume her's was returned to RR. Eventually we both received our correct claim amounts. My major question about this whole process is WHY weren't we cut checks for the total claim amount the first time. We never received any explanation from them. And, secondly, why wasn't my sister's check sent directly to her. I hate to think they were trying to not return the total amount to us but it's either that or poor bookkeeping, because the proper amount was pretty clear on the forms I filled out.
