Many Arch RoamRight customers highlight the provider’s quick claims process and compassionate customer service representatives. However, some travelers report that updates on their claim status are rare, and gathering the needed documents for claims can be challenging.
I really like the fact that SquareMouth allowed me to compare a number of travel insurance plans across carriers. I have never purchased travel insurance before and the thought of researching carriers and then requesting quotes was overwhelming. I called a customer service agent to book a plan and that agent was knowledgeable about the product and was able to explain the terms in plain language so that I understood what I was purchasing. I very am pleased with this service.
I filed a claim about 6 weeks ago. I had to contact Squaremouth's service of helping me with it because I never heard back from roamright. I received an email last week from Squaremouth stating that roamright has all of the necessary documents and that they are processing the claim. I still haven't heard from roamright since I first filed the claim. This is really taking way too long. I would hesitate using roam right again.

There was a lot of back and forth with them about required documents. One email said my file was complete and I'd hear from them soon, while weeks later, another email said the file was incomplete. I also used Squaremouth's service that seemed it would help with the process, but they never forwarded to Roam right one of the documents I sent them, which caused further delays. In the end, everything worked out ok, but it was a much more tedious process than I thought necessary.

I tried to file a claim but was told my reason for filing a claim was not covered. I had a panic attack due to claustrophobia after boarding my flight home, and had to get off the plane. Needing to buy a new ticket home the next day and an overnight stay at a hotel cost me $1000. Mental issues are not covered so be forewarned about this. This had never happened to me before, but you would think today that people would realize that physical and mental problems should. Be treated equally.

This is outlined in Exclusion #6 under “Limitations and Exclusions” on page 8 of your Description of Coverage. I didn't feel that the person in customer service gave me clear and concise answers about what my claim included. I have filed a claim and am being told that it could take up to a month to process. I feel that is an unreasonably long amount of time to process a claim.
I had needed to add an additional day to our coverage since American changed our flight schedule, and we were getting back to the east coast too late to drive home. Darlene in Customer Service was very helpful.

Just got back to the US from the extension to our vacation that was not covered. Now that I am back home I hope to put the claim together within the next week or so. Minor claim due to delayed baggage.

I didn't really interact with RoamRight, but with On Call International, the company that handles the return details. We had problems connecting by telephone so almost all contact was by email. My husband was hit by a motorbike and has been in the hospital in Florence Italy for 25 days now, flat on his back. The hospital doctors have finally decided he's able to travel, so we will be going home this week. I received no assistance from the company with my living arrangements nor translation services nor interfacing with the hospital. I have had daily contact with On Call and am now awaiting their arrangements for our return.
