No problems what-so-ever with filing a claim. Will continue to choose RoamRight.

Will not use RoamRight again as they do not have Port Cancellation coverage. Nationwide (thru insuremytrip) does. Same cruise - friend made claim and got reimbursed for Trip Interruption. When I called customer service, I was told I was not covered, and that they were unaware of anyone having this type of coverage. Obviously they were either not well informed, or not honest. Lesson learned - but want to warn others to look for this clause if a port of call is important to you.

Thank you for your review. If the change of port caused you to miss non-refundable activities then you would have been covered under trip interruption as long as the change of port was for a covered reason. However, in your case, the change of port did not cause you to miss non-refundable activities, thus it is not covered under trip interruption.

    Arch RoamRight policy: Adventure

A Squaremouth customer service agent, via online chat, answered all my questions about how to make changes to my policy and what time frames need to be met in order to maintain proper coverage. Because of that I felt like I could keep my policy up to date with my latest travel arrangements. I highly recommend Squaremouth for selecting the best travel insurance policy and will certainly be using Squaremouth for my next trip.

Agent was very clear in explanation and forms were clear and complete. Forms sent immediately by email. Now we are waiting for the M.D.'s form to be returned so we can file the claim.

    Arch RoamRight policy: Adventure

I had to have my wife in the USA contact a 3rd party, that was supposed to be the 24 hour contact. I had found a change of flight, because of an emergency maxial-faciallaey infection happened, necessitating that I stay an additional 2+ weeks. RoamRight said I had up to $750 to reschedule a return flight which was fine. I was able to work with the airline directly.
I did have to have emergency medical care, as well as follow up treatment, and was under Dr.s orders not to fly. Treatment Two surgical procedures and medication and repeated follow ups.

It did mess up my plans, but it could have been worse had I not been in a major city. At least I did not need emergency medical evacuation as I could take the extra time to be sure that proper healing of the synthetic bone graft material is meshing with my actual mandible. Having any infection and surgery in your head is awful.

The on-call guy was a little belligerent to my wife that I had made the changed airline reservation, and she was just following instructions that the RoamRight rep instructed us to do.

Hopefully this will be easy to process. I have been given a detailed summery of the procedures and such.

The purchasing process for the insurance coverage was straightforward and pain free. I did contact customer service for clarification on a couple of points and they were extremely helpful. I did not need to make a claim but would expect that the service on the back end of this experience would be just as stellar as on the front end.

sadly we DID NOT TAKE THIS TRIP
******* ******* had emergency bypass surgery on Dec. 15, 2016 and his doctors will not let him travel for at least 3 months.
we just filed our claim with Roam Right and so far the responses have been excellent.
It's hard to review an insurance company until seeing how the settlement goes.
I can't answer any other questions at this point.
