Easy to purchase a travel insurance plan. Trip was delayed and so contacted customer service for more info on the coverage for the delay and they were helpful. Filing a claim this week. We have purchased travel insurance quite a few other times but this is the first time we are filing a claim. From other reviews it seems like the process is not too complicated. We would definitely purchase the plan again.

I didn't quite understand what costs I should and shouldn't include for my trip, so I ended up paying extra insurance. When I first bought the insurance, it wasn't adequately explained. Many of my lodging reservations were completely refundable up to 3days or even 24 hrs. before arrival. At some point, while on my trip it was explained to me that I should not have paid insurance on these types of lodgings.I was grateful for the phone insurance rep who really took the time to explain the policy towards the end of my trip, I wish I had talked to her when I first bought it.
Filed claim online; was asked for a few more documents. Spoke with Jaime, got her what she needed. Claim was placed Feb. 12, check was mailed Feb. 24. Great service. Only quibble was that there were two claims, (self and spouse) but there was no second claim payment eob generated, which caused a bit of confusion at our end. Not critical, in any event.
It was fairly simple and I called customer service to get specific information that helped me make the best policy choice.
