Since I never had to file a claim (yes!), I couldn't give more than four stars. But the search process was smooth, the customer support was very responsive, and purchasing was easy. A great way to run things!

They were unable to help us with emergency transport from rural Cambridgeshire to London, UK. We were able to arrange it on our own. If the National Health Service bills us and our regular insurance does not cover it, we may file a claim.
I bought trip insurance with RoamRight based on a certain flight price. A few weeks later, the flight price went down drastically and I rebooked our tickets at the lower price. I then called RoamRight to see if they would credit us based on the new reduced flight price. They were fantastic! Wonderful to deal with and promptly credited us over $100 based on the newly priced travel insurance plan.
I'm delighted I didn't have to use their insurance services while on our trip, but based on this customer service experience will be sure to purchase from them for our next trip.

i have to see how good you are when i make claim. i was healthy and no problems during vacation. so far so good. anyway, thanks. bipin shah. i took another policy for my grand son who left tokyo on 24 july.
Policy was good. Customer service was so-so. The rep didn't seem to believe we had a good enough case for a claim because the airline told us to collect our baggage causing us to miss the flight due to a delay in arrival. Despite having explained this, were told by the rep, "A missed connection just because you had to check your bags isn't really a reason, but I'll forward you the claim information anyway." Didn't seem very empathic. Claim decision is still pending to compensate our taxi fee.
Good coverage for a reasonable price. I like the coverage for terrorism at home or the destination as a valid reason to cancel a trip, as well as illness for myself or a close family member.
I travel sometimes with my daughters who are Canadians. While we need to get different policies because of the nationality / country of residence, I feel more secure insuring with the same company.
Flexible--allowed us to easily add coverage to our policy as we booked over several months.
