Customers appreciate Seven Corners’ responsive customer service, especially when helping them select the right policy for their trip. Many travelers highlight the helpfulness and availability of the support team. However, some mention frustrations with the time-consuming paperwork and long wait times for reimbursement during the claims process.
The information needed to process the claim seemed to be redundant and tedious. We were simply asking for $300 and change for the missed connection which resulted in a hotel room and meals. Asking for our credit card statement when we had already provided receipts from the hotel and restaurants is wrong. Since the receipts were provided, it was clear that our flight was delayed 24 hours due to the missed connection, I refused to give a credit card bill with our personal information. After objecting and refusing to do so, the claim was eventually processed. Also it was asked of us to get specific information from the air carrier when we had proof of delay and rescheduled flight. That was redundant and a total waste of my time for this pittance of a refund.
We just bought travel insurance again and it was not with Seven Corners.
Seven Corners has a straightforward website for the claims process. There could have been a little more flexibility to the claims form design, but those limitations were overcome with a little back and forth communication to explain items that could not be categorized in the web forms. That's what dropped my ranking from 5 stars to 4 stars.
I had to appeal their initial decision and supply some additional proof of payment, but did receive the compensation I requested at the conclusion of the appeals process.
I would recommend this policy for trip interruption or delay purposes. I did not have to make a claim based on any medical issues, so cannot comment on that important aspect of the policy.
All easy and reassuring to have had the coverage.
The claim was administered and processed professionally and efficiently. Seven Corners representatives were friendly and professional.
We will use Seven Corners for all of our travel insurance in the future.
I was unsure of the coverage i needed or how to make sure i was clicking the right buttons to get said coverage. So i called. I spoke to a seven corners rep and she walked me thru the entire policy screen and then completed the process with me. I was worried about missing a step or coverage so i really appreciated the hands on help. Thank you!!! Ps- our trip to Baja to touch the whales was magical.
I felt secure having travel insurance and fortunately I did not need to make a claim. I just wish it wasn't so expensive.
My experience was fine however it took a bit of reading and a call to understand clearly the relationship between 7 Corners. Squaremouth, and Tin Leg. A simple guide with a who to call first guide would be most helpful. Thanks.
My only contact with customer service was to alter a trip date.
I got major GI infection while in Mexico which landed me in the hospital there for two and half days. Contacted Seven Corners Medical assistance via the phone after being admitted to the hospital and the phone agent was very efficient at telling me what I would need to do to handle my hospital claim. They have been very quick to process my claim! It was relatively easy to get them all the materials needed for the submitting and processing of my claim via emails and .pdf documents. Would highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.
The reason I called them was on the summary sheet, it did not say that we were covered for pre-existing condition even though we paid extra for that benefit. However, they said it was written on their end.
Fortunately, I did not put a claim in, but it was unclear to me exactly what would be covered under the Pre-existing condition add on option that I bought. Seven corners kept sending me emails why a claim would be denied and still could not comprehend it.
