I had questions regarding potential carrier bankruptcy protection that were thoroughly addressed by the representative. I left the experience confident that I had purchased the right product.
Follow-up request on documentations that has no merit, was originally provided, or is impossible to obtain given the circumstances of the occurrences.
Would recommend the product given my experience, seemed reasonably priced. I will use them again when I purchase nedical travel insurance.
I ordered transfer from my home to airport on Viator website, day before my flight I confirmed with supplier at what time they will pick me up in the morning for my flight, in the morning shuttle didn't picked me up at all, I tried to call them with no results, therefore I drove myself to the airport, I was late for my flight, so to get to my destination I bought new airline tickets and still missed first day of touring, my total extra expense was $1100 , I file claim, I provided all documents that I have, that clearly state that I had transfer on Oct.16 from my home to the airport, but I am not satisfied with responds this what I am getting from seven corners :
"Unfortunately, the attached document does not reflect the information requested.
In order for us to determine coverage for your claim, your policy requires that any delay of the Common Carrier be certified by that carrier.
We would need written documentation from the car company that confirms the scheduled pickup time, the actual pickup time, and the reason for the delay.
We will be happy to review any additional documentation upon receipt. However, we cannot continue our review of your claim until the requested documentation has been received."
How can I provide this kind of information I can't get in touch with transfer provider(may be they went out of business), and actual pick up time(they never shoved up). I see that your people tried to do everything by the book but this life and a lot of time you just cannot be so inflexible, I bought insurance just in case
specifically for this kind situation, and now have been victimized by Seven corners stuff.
Prior to our trip, we interacted with customer service just to get some clarifications on the policy. Good interaction. No claim needed to be filed during our trip but good to know that help was near if needed.
Filed a claim over two weeks ago with no reply
Online experience and customer service assistance when I purchased my policy were excellent. Highly recommend purchasing insurance from Squaremouth.
Read the terms of the policy very carefully; the policy does not cover the events you assume it will. We bought the trip cancellation insurance for our trip to Ecuador. There were elevated levels of civil unrest in Ecuador, the govt fled the capital, a state of emergency & curfew were instated, 11 people died, roads to the airport were blockaded & flights canceled, the US State dept issued a level 4 “do not travel” warning, yet the insurance did not cover cancelation because it only covers “foreign terrorist events”. What’s worse, customer service gave me assurances they were confident it would be covered. Cancel for any reason insurance only covers 75% of trip costs, and for reasons beyond my understand has to be cancelled 2 days prior to trip start. This was extremely tricky as we watch events unfold hourly I thought it ironic that the company that would have to cover my medical expenses would prefer to have me put myself in harms way (potentially leading to a much high repatriation claim or medical expenses) than to reimburse my trip cost. I will not be contracting this policy again.
I filed a claim in mid September and still haven’t been reimbursed for my medical expenses. I will be traveling again extensively in May but don’t feel confident with Seven Corners service.
I had to cancel my trip due to a friend's illness and expected at least a partial refund, given that I did not even make the trip and your company had no liability exposure. Unfair! when you cancel car insurance or term life insurance or any other kind of insurance, you get a refund for the unused portion.
