Many travelers highlight the helpfulness and availability of the support team. However, some mention frustrations with the time-consuming paperwork and long wait times for reimbursement during the claims process.
My coverage started several weeks before I left on my trip and it did not extend through the end of my trip. Twice, I requested that the dates be changed. The first time was right after they issued the policy. The second time was when my trip was interrupted due to a plane grounded by Delta. I missed my connection and My trip was delayed by two days.
We have purchased trip insurance for every cruise we take. We have found the few times that we have had to make a claim the keep you informed about your claim and if they need anything else they are very specific so that you don’t have to make multiple submissions of material.
It would have been helpful to have known I needed a doctored full statement of treatment at the time rather than having to circle back and obtain it. This is my first experience filing a claim so next time I will be aware.
customer service was very helpful explaining how to file a claim. Have not yet filed a claim
I couldn’t go to the trip due to an illness. Seven corners was very helpful. It was easy to work with them.
The people I talk to are knowledgeable and helpful.
Easy to buy insurance and great customer service.
My Check-In luggage was delayed and did not arrive at LAX in time, so I had to leave for the Philippines without it. I was without this bag for 4 days after arriving in the Philippines. I was on vacation and I am not from the Philippines. The bag had all of my clothes and most other necessary items. I saw on my policy that I was covered for up to $100 a day for a delayed bag, so I filed a claim. On the claim form I indicated that I did not purchase any items and that I do not have any receipts. I suffered for 4 days wearing the same clothes and got sick with worry about my bag. The reason why I gave only 2 stars is that the Claims department could have told me up front that since I did not purchase new clothes, etc. that I will not receive any compensation for my bag getting delayed for 4 days. But instead, the Claims department wanted me to email more information, and itineraries, etc. etc. taking up way to much of my time just to have my claim eventually denied because I had no receipts to prove that I purchased anything. They knew that when I first filed the claim, but wasted a ton of my time and a ton of stress trying to gather all the information they wanted in a country where I have very limited access. The policy is very misleading. If it had a small footnote that read "must provide receipts for any compensation," I would not have filed a claim. I am so happy nothing more serious than a delayed bag happened, because I would hate to see what a mess they would put me or my family through if I got hospitalized or died over there. 2 stars is generous.
I needed to cancel my trip because I had a daughter who was suicidal as a result of unresolved trauma from my other daughter dying of brain cancer in 2023. My daughter was hospitalized because she was suicidal. It put me in a depression tailspin and I couldn't function. Seven Corners apparently does not think mental health is a health issue. Could not be more disappointed and disgusted with their ruling. I have used them many times in the past. Will never use them again.
Excellent communication at all phases of my claim. I had to mail all the documents because my emails were not going through. As soon as Seven Corners received the documents, they approved the whole amount.
