  • Seven Corners policy: Liaison Continent excl US

I have purchased Seven Corners insurance several times before and normally get immediate response which includes a wallet size card that can be cut and placed in a wallet. I received no confirmation email from them, just from Squaremouth on Feb 6 (date of purchase) and had to print that for my departure. On Feb 7 I got an email from Seven Corners only with a "Policy Expiration Reminder", not with any info regarding my policy. I sent them 2 emails telling them this and finally heard back on Feb 11 with the 4 documents that they should have sent initially.

Seven Corners policy: Trip Protection Elite

I had to access emergency hospital services twice during my trip. I filed separate claims with Seven Corners for each date of service. My primary heath insurance covered all but $25 on each claim. Seven Corners denied one of my claims saying I had already been paid. I believe the confusion arose because both claims were for the same amount. I made several phone calls to them trying to get this resolved over they phone. Ultimately I was told to resubmit all my paperwork for the denied claim. As the amount was for only $25 it was not worth my time to resubmit the claim.

This should have been resolvable over the phone as the claims had separate claim numbers. Had the claim been for a substantial amount I would have persisted but for $25 it was not worth it.

On another topic Seven Corners said to call them collect to report issues and no charge for the call would be incurred. I did make a call from a friend's home in Spain to report my visit to emergency. I was assured the call would be treated as collect and no charge would be made to my friend's phone number. However my friend was charged for the call.

Seven Corners policy: Trip Protection Elite

One of the passengers could not attend this trip. We'd purchased a "cancel for any reason" policy. This has to be purchased within 2 weeks of booking the trip. Though a little more, I highly recommend it. The process was so easy, and my check was waiting for me when I got back from my trip. Altogether it took less than 2 weeks!! Great service, great company, will definitely use again.

Seven Corners policy: Wander Frequent Traveler excl US

I am waiting for my claim to be adjudicated. I faxed the info to the fax number on your answering machine. When I followed up via email, as I was faxed the proper froms in my hour of need, I sent an email to confirm I did fax my documents. A reply asked to what FAX # I used. I repeated the one on your answering machine. I was told I had to REFAX using a different FAX number (thank goodness I have a fax in my home or I'd be running to a commercial place). I did refax and now am waiting about a month. I recently sent a status request and this is how I heard from you. This is my first experience with your company, have traveled to at least 40 international countries and had the misfortune of not being able to go on a trip. I am hoping my claim will be finalized shortly. A couple of the above questions were not really appropriate to my situation as I never got to go on my trip due to health issues. Thanks for anything you can do to finalize my claim.

Seven Corners policy: Trip Protection Elite

I am generally satisfied with the settlement. I paid approx $200+ premium to add 'Cancel for any reason' clause. I feel that that my reason for cancellation would have been covered under the other parts of the policy without paying the additional premium for 'Cancel for any reason'. Since I did not use that clause, I believe a consideration should be given to refund that part of the premium.
    Thankyou.

Seven Corners policy: Trip Protection Economy

Very easy to purchase and gave us peace of mind. Of course, since we did not file a claim, I don't know how that experience would be. Hopefully hassle-free. Plan to purchase trip insurance again in the near future for a cruise we will be booking. Thank you-- Letitia

Seven Corners policy: Trip Protection Choice

In August 2015 we made a claim on a PREVIOUS Seven Corner policy. The claim was accepted, documents requested, and we were paid in full. It was a fair and prompt experience. That is why we AGAIN insured with Seven Corners later in 2015.

Seven Corners policy: Trip Protection Choice

We have had this claim since we returned from Africa. Phillip, Jana, and I did not get our baggage until 9 days into the trip. Ive sent documents to 3 different people to show that we had to wear the one pair of wet cloths we washed every night while in the Serengeti plains. I keep getting told that we should have bought clothing, and there ARE NO STORED of anykind in the Serengeti, so our delayed baggage claim has been ignored. Subsequently, I wouldn't recommend your company to anyone.
