Great piece of mind while traveling abroad
you guys are quick to collect the premium but when when it comes to paying the claim you find excuses not to pay the claim by quoting this or that disclaimer. I am so disgusted that I am going to use another company for my travel insurance for my upcoming trip.
Although we felt we had to provide a lot of information when filing our claim, we were pleased to receive a check for the full amount of our medical bills in less than two weeks.
We filed a claim and we haven't heard anything as of now.
I will be in a better position to answer this question after I file my missed airline flight complaint due to inclement weather conditions and related expenses incurred.
Hello,
I received very good service over the phone, but I never received an insurance card via email. I did have a phone number to call but I feel much more confident now that I have purchased 6 month insurance via Squaremouth, to have access to all these documents online for HCC. Perhaps the one month insurance while in the US was a different vehicle.
My cruise was interrupted due to the death of my mother. The Guest Services Manager on the cruise helped me to contact Seven Corners. It took them 24 hours to get back to us just to tell me to make my own arrangements and file a claim later. If I had known this to begin with, I could have gotten on a flight a day earlier. When I filed a claim, I sent copies of the death certificate, my ship bill for the airline ticket and some other supporting documentation. I got a letter asking for much of the information I had already sent. I called Seven Corners and they said all they had on record was the claim form. So I had to send of the documents again. I just received a letter saying that they have approved the claim and are sending a check separately. So when I get the check I will be satisfied that I did get my money back, but the process could have been a lot better.
I injured my knee traveling. After initially denying my claim, arguing that hiking in a national park frequented by tourists qualified as "mountaineering," which was excluded from the policy, Seven Corners covered my claim. I was able to get an MRI and physical therapy to rehab my knee. I'm really glad I had the policy!
Service was quick and fair without going through the mill.
Small secondary medical claim. Seven Corners very responsive so far. Waiting for primary insurer to process claim first.
