Customers appreciate Seven Corners’ responsive customer service, especially when helping them select the right policy for their trip. Many travelers highlight the helpfulness and availability of the support team. However, some mention frustrations with the time-consuming paperwork and long wait times for reimbursement during the claims process.
We had to cancel due to medical reasons, so did file a claim. No problems--the check came this week! Thank you, SquareMouth.
We filed our claim with Seven Corners on June 6, 2014. The claim was for a pickpocket theft of an iphone, a camera and cash in Barcelona, Spain. Except for asking for proof of camera ownership a few weeks ago, we have heard nothing from Seven Corners. They have not been advising us about the status of the claim, rather we have had inquire with calls to them. Today is July 14, 2014, and as of this date we have been told that the claim will still take at least another 3 weeks.
Called Squaremouth - found their customer service person super helpful and very honest. Policy was extremely reasonable.
It would be nice if I was provided with feedback about my claim instead of just waiting to see if all goes well. Maybe an email indicating that they received all my documentation and that it was acceptable and that the claim is being processed would be helpful.
Purchasing medical evacuation insurance online was relatively easy.
We enjoyed our trip, without any concerns of problems because, we felt protected by Square Mouth.
The policy is written in such a way that the fine print denies you coverage in the particular area in which you wish to make a claim. I filed a claim under Baggage Delay only to find out that the coverage is for the outbound journey only. If the airline loses your baggage on the middle leg of your vacation or the return leg, then Seven Corners denies responsibility. The company suggests we file a claim with the airline. It's just a kabuki dance. I would never use this company again. I thank heaven I didn't get sick on this trip. No doubt the medical insurance would have had deniability clauses as well. .
I have no problem with SquareMouth, but we were disappointed with Seven Corners and the way they mishandled our claim. We were delayed for 24 hours at an airport the first day of our trip, and when we called them after the trip, they asssured us we had a legitimate claim. We sent in all the requested receipts and information. Yet, we had to "jump through hoops" for several months that included many phone calls, repeated inquiries, and an over abundant
amount of time on our part. We finally received a check, but the "torture" to get the funds was just ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!
I called your company and my call was quickly answered by a real person! What a novelty! She was very helpful, asked for my needs regarding a travel medical/evacuation policy and made a recommendation to fit my minimal needs at a very reasonable price. I never needed the insurance, thank goodness, but was reassured knowing it was there if necessary.
claim denied - I was told I did not purchase the correct insurance. I'd like to pursue the issue. Any advice???
