Customers appreciate Seven Corners’ responsive customer service, especially when helping them select the right policy for their trip. Many travelers highlight the helpfulness and availability of the support team. However, some mention frustrations with the time-consuming paperwork and long wait times for reimbursement during the claims process.
My claim was denied due to conditions beyond my control. My travel agent claimed bankruptcy 9 days before the departure date. We had paid in full including the air fare & only received $75 each to transfer airline tickets that we never received. I feel we were dupted by the travel agent and Square mouth because they both took our $$$ and we lost out on a trip we paid for never received. Travel insurance is a big scam in my opinion. Squaremoth did very little to help us to resolve our loss of over $4000.
Seven Corners has several layers of bureaucracy which must add to processing cost and annoys customers. In response to our very well documented claim, SC sent a letter indicating that our claim check was in the mail in early June 2014. However, later I found out that it was an error to send this notice before further checking by the claims department. After many calls we finally received our claim check two months later thanks to one person at SC who was able to expedite our claim. We appreciate the help but there was no justification for the two month delay by the SC claims department for a very well documented and very straight forth claim. Would not recommend SC unless you are willing to put up with a lot of unnecessary delays by their claims department.
Very helpful staff on the phone assisted with insurance options.
First time purchasing the insurance and my questions were answered. Would use them again.
I had a small claim of $125 for a doctor's visit while on our cruise. I contacted Seven Corners when I came home and they sent me the appropriate paperwork to fill out and return. Instructions were clear and the claim was settled in an appropriate timeframe. Very satisfied.
The only complaint I have is that the website is not clear on which forms(s) to fill out, so I end up going through the telephone agent instead.
Very slow or responding to claim. Also, despite physician completing claim form as requested, they (1) denied claim, (2) requested additional medical information if I wanted to appeal denial, and (3) failed to mention that this was a "cancel for any reason" policy so, at a minimum, 75% of claim should have been paid without any additional information.
My luggage arrived more than 24h late, so I filed a claim to get the $100 that I thought I was covered for.
I had to send several mails, faxes, and emails, so that eventually they told me that without receipts you get nothing. So I got $0, spent money and time on all of this paperwork, for no reason.
The final step of the claim was finally a letter stating all the conditions of reimbursement, including the fact that receipts are absolutely necessary, that I absolutely never received or had seen before my departure.
I am still waiting to hear about a portion of my claim that was denied because of a clerical error in the Doctor's office.
People seem glad to help you. I will use them again.
