We did not need to file a claim for any reason, but felt that the increased sense of security on the trip was worth the reasonable cost.
This has been a frustrating, aggravating and disappointing experience. The only thing worse than having our trip to Italy delayed and losing an entire day and night, is dealing with the incompetent staff handling my claim. I provided more than necessary and adequate documentation that was requested, spoke with office assistance and still have had no resolve. My travel friend received a letter and her check, but to this date, I have not.
At this time, I cannot think of a reason why I would ever consider purchasing this policy again.
Claims representatives who answered the 24 Hour Assistance Line would not or could not disclose if certain expenses were covered and this created a very difficult predicament when I experienced an acute medical emergency. Coverage details were vague and clarification from Seven Corners was not offered willingly.
I felt the policy coverage and price was reasonable; fortunately I did not have to use it as the trip went well.I would recommend the policy to other travelers.
I happily had no need to file a claim, but it made an error on the original form. This was dealt with quickly and efficiently. I will use Seven Corners again next time I travel.
We had to cancel our trip to China with Viking because I experienced a medical problem. We filed a claim for the cancellation costs with Seven Corners. We waited four weeks and when we didn't hear from them, called the office. We were told they had sent a letter requesting additional information, but we never received the letter. Once we sent the additional paperwork, Seven Corners paid the cancellation fee within a month, which was within their projected time frame. I would recommend Seven Corners, but sent all my correspondence via certified mail to make sure they received it and the date.
I would always recommend a travel policy. Having a travel policy paid off for me when my husband suffered a heart attack prior to our planned cruise. Was so thankful that he is okay and that our cruise money wasn't wasted.
