I had to file a claim due to a medical problem and was very pleased with the claims process. I was given clear directions as how to fill out the claims form and was told to call back if I had any questions. I felt it was handled in a timely manner and was refunded my trip expenses.
I hope this is how Square Mouth handles all their claims. I would recommend to others.
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip the day before our scheduled departure due to health reasons. Seven Corners dealt with our claim very fairly. We would definitely purchase a policy from them again.
Our connecting flight was late to Dulles and I couldn't get to JFK Airport in time so would miss a second flight going to Israel and would have had at least a day or more delay and no idea how to catch up to our group. Instead, we were able to get to Newark Liberty airport and paid $150 to a cab to barely make the flight.
Seven Corners would not reimburse even a dime of that $150. Our creative thinking and gamble saved them a bunch. We were without our luggage for 3 days. We made no claim for that as we made it work without spending money since we couldn't get to a store anyway.
Given the large amount of money we paid them, the least they could have done was honor a claim for taxi fare or some portion of it.
Frankly I have been working on a comprehensive e-mail to send to the many friends we've made on 2o cruises and European trips to let them know how disappointed we are with Seven Corners and Squaremouth.com so far.
The policy we purchased did not provide any sort ophthalmologic coverage, even if the visual disorder was due to an underlying systemic disease which is covered by most health insurances. As a result, we had to foot the entire bill. The appealing process was time consuming and fruitless. Therefore, make sure you review the exclusions very carefully before you purchase a policy from this company. For us, it was a complete waste of money and time.
Awesome company with great customer support
Our baggage was lost for 4 days on a cruise. After our return, we contacted you and were told to complete some "simple forms" and we would be refunded the amount due ($400.00). THEN we received numerous papers asking for detailed information and all receipts for purchases we had to make for clothing etc. We FINALLY (after about 6-8 weeks) were reimbursed for the ITEMS WE PURCHASED ONLY - no extra money for the inconvenience of having to wash clothes out for 4 days etc. This policy tells me that If there was no way to purchase clothing on a trip, this means we would not receive ONE DIME for our inconvenience??? We were NOT happy with the results. If one of your agents had to live 4 days without clothes - how would you feel?? We were NOT able to buy enough clothes to compensate for what we needed. If you have ever been on a cruise ship, you would understand. We probably would not buy this insurance again from you!
