I chose Seven Corners travel insurance in my recent international trip . I had an accident while on this trip that required medical treatment at a clinic. I was properly treated and returned to my home country. After I got settled at home I filed a claim with Seven Corners to compensate me for the money I spent being at the medical clinic in-country. I submitted all the receipts and travel documents required by Seven Corners. About 4 weeks later, I received a check from Seven Corners to cover my out of pocket medical expenses. I was told to expect a claims form when we arrived home...it's been a week since I called with a report of an accident and ER visit.
Seven Corners ultimately paid all of my medical expenses and I was not required to pay in advance and be reimbursed. My claim was for an ER visit and subsequent surgery.The hospital in Australia was able to file directly with them after I provided claim information and provided the number for a Seven Corner advisor to discuss. While it took a few weeks to finalize all of the payments, it was relatively painless on my part. The only reason the rating isn't 5 stars is due to my initial discussions with the advisors (during the night in the US). I would advise calling during business hours in the US if at all possible. The advisors that I spoke with during business hours were very knowledgeable and helpful.

I cannot give enough praise to Seven Corners' response and support when my husband died unexpectedly during out Caribbean cruise. They worked with the ship's medical team to determine the best way to handle his remains. Then they partnered with the cruise line's shoreside staff to arrange for and to pay directly for transporting his body from the ship to the country's medical examiner and then to a very nice funeral home in Ft. Lauderdale for cremation, and to have his cremains shipped to me .... all without my having to do a thing beyond sign some papers. They followed up with me after I arrived home to see how I was doing and even sent flowers to express their condolences. In addition, they reimbursed me for the onboard medical bills promptly. Seven Corners eased the burdens of my heartbreaking situation, and I intend to buy trip insurance from them again.
I was able to make my claim and Seven Corners paid the reimbursement.
