Many travelers highlight the helpfulness and availability of the support team. However, some mention frustrations with the time-consuming paperwork and long wait times for reimbursement during the claims process.
Easy process. Gave me peace of mind.
Comparing plans and shopping for insurance was easy, and modifying the travel dates after purchase was also easy. Highly recommend.
They were available when I needed them.
Purchasing went smoothly. Fortunately, no claim!
OUR TRIP WAS TO ISRAEL; HOWEVER, WE DIDN'T GO BECAUSE EVERYTHING WAS CANCLLED BUT YOU REFUSE TO ALLOW US TO FILE A CLAIM. ACCORDING TO YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN DECEMBER WE WERE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ANY REFUND. WE'VE USED YOU ON ALL OUR TRIPS BUT WILL NOT AGAIN. WE'V RECOMMENDED YOU MANY TIMES BUT NOT WE WILL NOT. SO DISAPPOINTED IN YOUR COMPANY.
I submitted a minor claim online for medical expenses while traveling to the Philippines. It was an easy and smooth process.
I purchased insurance for myself and 4 companions. There was nothing in the ordering process asking for state residency of each individual. After receiving policies, I learned that Washington State residents require a different policy than Oregon state resident. It would have been helpful to know beforehand as I had to cancel two of my policies and purchase different ones. However, the customer service folks were very helpful in making the changes needed.
smooth efficient process. affordable.
Unfortunately I didn’t get to go on the trip due to a medical emergency .The assistance I received with help completing the claim forms was excellent . The assistant was compassionate and patient with me . I will be faxing the completed forms within the 90 day period . Thank you !

Certificate Number: 1TPC23-AOS-119434
Claim Number(s): 14952832
Date of Loss: February 22, 2024
Type of Loss: Trip Interruption for Any Reason
Dear William C Thornton,
As the claims administrator for United States Fire Insurance Company, we received your claim relating to your Trip Interruption for Any Reason. We have reviewed the facts related to your loss and have responded below.
According to our records, on October 11, 2023, you purchased the Seven Corners Trip Protection Choice, Policy # 1TPC23-AOS-119434, for a scheduled trip February 7 – March 14, 2024.
A claim (Claim #14952832) for trip interruption for any reason was filed with Seven Corners on March 13, 2024. Your policy is a named peril policy which means that benefits are payable when covered unforeseen events listed in your policy occur while your policy is in effect. Your claim was filed as trip interruption for any reason. Your policy does not have this optional benefit. Therefore, trip interruption for any reason benefits would not apply. Additionally, Trip interruption for any reason applies when you interrupt your trip 48 hours or more after your scheduled departure date. Your trip was not interrupted by you but rather the trip was interrupted by the cruise line.
Your claim was also reviewed under the trip interruption benefit. The reason given that the cruise line canceled a portion of your cruise, is not a covered reason under the trip interruption benefit. Therefore, your loss is not covered under the terms and conditions of this travel insurance plan and your claim is ineligible for reimbursement.
The policy language that is pertinent to this matter:
“SECTION IV TRAVEL ARRANGEMENT PROTECTION
TRIP INTERRUPTION
If You must start Your Trip late or are unable to complete Your Trip, We will reimburse You, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits, for the unused, forfeited, prepaid non-refundable Payments or Deposits paid to the Travel Supplier for the Travel Arrangements You purchased for Your Trip plus the Additional Transportation Cost paid to:
a. join Your Trip if You must depart after Your Scheduled Departure Date or travel via alternate travel arrangements; or
b. rejoin Your Trip from the point where You interrupted Your Trip to the next Scheduled Destination; or
c. transport You to Your originally scheduled Return Destination of Your Trip.
The benefit payable for the above will not exceed the cost of a one-way economy airfare (or first or business class, if the original tickets were first or business class) by the most direct route less any refunds paid or payable for Your unused original tickets. Note that reimbursement of non-refundable Payments or Deposits will be calculated/prorated on a daily basis less the cost of Your original airfare booked by You.
Trip Interruption must occur while coverage is in effect for You due to any of the following covered Unforeseen reasons, as defined:
1. Your, a Family Member’s, or a Traveling Companion’s, or a Business Partner’s death, which occurs while You are on Your Trip.
2. Your, a Family Member’s, or a Traveling Companion’s, or a Business Partner’s Sickness or Injury, that:
a. occurs while You are on Your Trip;
b. is examined and treated by a Physician prior to the time of interruption; and
c. as certified by a Physician, results in medical restrictions so disabling as to prevent Your continued
participation on Your Trip.
Sickness or Injury of Your Business Partner must be so disabling as to reasonably cause You to interrupt Your Trip to assume daily management of the business.
3. You or Your Traveling Companion must interrupt Your Trip due to Other Covered Events as defined, provided such circumstances occur while coverage is in effect.
OPTIONAL TRIP INTERRUPTION FOR ANY REASON
We will reimburse You, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits, for unused, forfeited prepaid non-refundable Payments or Deposits paid to the Travel Supplier for the Travel Arrangements You purchased for Your Trip, if You interrupt Your Trip 48 or more hours after the actual Scheduled Departure Date for any reason not otherwise covered by this policy, provided the following conditions are met:
1. You purchase the Interruption for Any Reason Benefit within the Time Sensitive Period.
If the above conditions are met, We will reimburse You, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits, for the Additional Transportation Cost to either:
a. join Your Trip if You must depart after Your Scheduled Departure Date or travel via alternate travel arrangements; or
b. rejoin Your Trip from the point where You interrupted Your Trip to the next scheduled destination; or
c. transport You to Your originally scheduled return or final destination of Your Trip.
This benefit does not cover penalties associated with Travel Arrangements not provided by the Travel Supplier for this Trip and failure of the Travel Supplier to provide the agreed upon arrangements for Your Trip for any reason.
In no event shall the amount reimbursed for Trip Interruption for Any Reason exceed the lesser of the amount You prepaid for Your Trip or the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits.
These benefit(s) will not duplicate any other benefits payable under the policy or any coverage(s) attached to the policy.”
