I am 68-years-old and my husband is 80-years-old. We took a 3.5 week vacation to Austria. Our Medicare Advantage Plan provides very limited coverage outside the United States. We bought the travel insurance policy primarily for the Medical Insurance; the coverage for trip expenses was gravy. I used the SquareMouth website to compare options (works well) and chose the Seven Corners Plan because it gave higher dollar amount coverage for competitive premium amounts. The application process was fine. Luckily our premium money was mostly wasted, we had no problems on our trip and will make no claim. The premium money was not completely wasted because the existence of this insurance provided peace of mind - a welcome purchase.
I filed and mailed a claim yesterday, 11/2/23. I will wait to see how the claim is handled and paid before making further comments.
Knowledgeable telephone service agent with no pressure to purchase.
Happy that you stay in contact
I was unsure how the process would go. During this time, periodically I would receive a message indicating that they were working on my claim. I never received a call or an email asking for additional information. Then in about 4 to 5 weeks, I received an email stating that my claim was approved and now am waiting on the check. During this time, I would also check on the status through their website.
I called the company, but the number provided for worldwide service did not have an english speaking operator. It did not function properly. I will not buy this insurance again
Our claim was submitted with Val Garn and Steve Garn. We are waiting for results. Thank you very much John Garn.
I needed a doctor during my recent trip to Italy. I had great difficulty contacting you through the phone numbers provided. My calls did not go through. Fortunately, I got the help I needed from a local Italian.
I just had to change a date on my policy and had no problems doing so. The procedure was seamless.
Submitted claim, heard nothing for over a week, called and learned that no one would look at the claim for at least 30 days as that far behind. This is unacceptable in my opinion.
Then, learned when talking to the agent that shared this with me that I checked the wrong box for the claim and that I needed to check a box that said I retuned from my trip due to a disruption. What gives? No option for the real reason for my claim. And then needing to wait for a month for anyone to review. And who knows then how long I will need to wait for resolution.
I would not buy another policy given this poor response to a claim.
