Customers appreciate Seven Corners’ responsive customer service, especially when helping them select the right policy for their trip. Many travelers highlight the helpfulness and availability of the support team. However, some mention frustrations with the time-consuming paperwork and long wait times for reimbursement during the claims process.
I filed a claim on March 31. I received a request for additional information on April 14 and sent it on April 17 and received a confirmation. On May 19 I received an email requesting the same information provided on April 17. I spoke with customer service who said that they actually had the information and the "systems" didn't "speak" to one another. I was told it would be another 4 weeks before the claim could be addressed/completed. Each email I receive states that they are very busy and will get to my claim as soon as possible. As of this writing it has been two months since the claim was filed.
I bought the insurance and thankfully never had to make a claim, that is always the easy part. I have no idea how Seven Corners rates when compensating for claims.
My claim was denied. I became ill on the day I was supposed to fly. Tested positive for covid using home tests shortly before leaving so I cancelled my flight. I paid 200.00 cancellation fee and filed to have that reimbursed. It was evening and no PCR testing places open anymore but I went the next day. My claim was denied stating I should have had a positive lab PCR test before cancelling. That was just not possible and it also takes 2-3 days for the results. Sometimes things just don't happen the way a policy is written. This is the real world...I became ill the day I was supposed to leave. How could I have the positive PCR test before cancelling? Even if I had taken a test 2-3 days before it would have been negative. I am awaiting my appeal. I would hope the circumstances will be been reviewed and I receive my reimbursement. Why take out insurance if they don't help you when you need it. I am very disappointed abd surely if I am not satisfied I will never use this company again nor recommend it. This is very simple...life in the real world is very different than what lawyers write into a contract.
I had to cancel my trip for health reasons. Seven Corners claims process was fairly easy, and the customer reps I spoke to were very helpful. My claim was settled quickly.
I can't seem to get documents to Seven Corners (drs statement, trip cancelation & signed authorization forms). I just used DocuSign yesterday at their request & they said they can't open it.
I've received several emails from different "team members " asking for the same documentation & it's frustrating. I sent it to all of them..
Now I have an email from a Customer Advocate.
And when I asked about Squaremouth last month onthe phone as a folliw up, the team member replied they were Seven Corners, not Squaremouth!! The team needs to talk to one another or document when they contact insureds so they don't duplicate efforts. I worked for Prudential Insurance in P&C & am baffled frankly.
One of us was hospitalized with pneumonia and had to be hospitalized. Our request was medical evacuation was ignored and the hospital was never contacted by the insurance provider.
The person in question is still sick in Spain unable to return for medical reasons.
My mom had a strange medical issue while we were in Madrid and we took her to the hospital. We got in touch with someone from customer service, who emailed our policy to the Spanish hospital check in person. She was then treated, and we have not heard word from the hospital since then. The rest of the trip was great.
The check has arrived! Thank you.
We filed a claim for medical services rendered on board ship after a COVID diagnosis. The claim was filed 4/13 following the clear instructions we received and the check was received 5/15. The whole process was simple and efficient.
I bought a "Cancel for Any Reason" policy. Yet, when I filed my claim when I had to cancel my trip due to two hospitalizations with a physician's note, Seven Directions denied my claim. What is the point of buying travel insurance, especially "cancel for any reason?"
I will never use this company again. They did not honor the policy I purchased.
Online information was clear.
The quote was reasonable.
Later enquiry was promptly answered.
All in all, a good experience.
I would recommend Seven Corners and will certainly explore the products again on future trips.
