Tin Leg Travel Insurance Reviews

Our family trip to Africa consisted of three families from two states. Because of this we had to purchase two policies due to State regulation. We also added airfare later and made some changes that resulted in price changes to our trip. Each time we contacted Tin Leg, the experienced operators were there to guide us through the process. They made purchasing a policy simple. Luckily the trip went as planned so we didn't have to make a claim.

My husband was diagnosed with cancer prior to our leaving on the trip, He died 6 weeks later.
The service was excellent, full payment was received quickly after we completed a questionnaire and submitted documentation and a phone interview. Excellent service. Compassionate employees. Highly recommend your company!

I chose because of the Forbes recommendation. Would have liked to have read more user reviews. They're probably there somewhere, but didn't see them. However, the policy seems quite straightforward. Had we had to have used it, I doubt there would have been any problems.

Website was easy to navigate although I need help adding another traveler to my party. The coverage was affordable.

It was easy to purchase insurance and customer service was very helpful. I had to file a trip interruption and medical claim. The prices was easy and payment was prompt. Thank you.

Easy to sign up. More flexible than certain other plans as regards definition of when travel is initiated and terminated. This flexibility was a deal-maker for me because I have two residences. Some providers want to initiate travel when I leave primary residence and limit coverage to six months. Square Mouth and Tin Leg define travel as starting when I leave EITHER residence, which is what I need.

I had difficulty making the collect call to Tin Leg when a family emergency occurred while I was in Spain. I used the emergency email address and had them call me. They called in a timely manner. They did not offer to help make my arrangements home, but did make some helpful suggestions on what to do. The claim was processed in a timely manner. The person doing the interview was helpful and understanding.
