    Love how Squaremouth provides me with an easy way to compare policies and provides a guarantee of customer satisfaction. I'm able to quickly evaluate and purchase a policy for peace of mind, especially during Covid uncertainty. Have never filed a claim, but I think that's the good news. Never needed to file one; trips all went well.

    Disappointed in Tin Leg. Travel plans to help aunt suffering with cancer were cancelled when she passed away a week before my flight. The non refundable airfare became a flight credit. Airline will not allow me to refuse the flight credit as suggested by Tin Leg. Although my insurance claim is valid, TinLeg will not reimburse because a flight credit is considered a refund. So, airline sells me “non refundable ticket” and provides flight credit, Tin Leg acknowledges a valid claim but indicates a credit is a refund. It’s a perpetual circle of semantics and lack of cooperation from either side that puts me at a loss.

    I’ve discovered that travel insurance serves no benefit to the traveler and I’ll be taking a flight to nowhere for the sake of using a credit and wasting money.

    Initially I was unhappy with Tin Leg's policy when they explained that my airline credit was actually a refund even though the airline was saying it wasn't a refund. The airline (American) refused to cancel my credit even at my request. Tin Leg came to the rescue and worked with me to obtain a refund for the flight I was unable to take because of the death of my aunt. They communicated with me via email daily and responded to my questions with suggestions about how to approach the airline. After I exhausted all my options, Tin Leg provided a document for me to sign certifying that I would not use the credit provided by the airline under penalty of insurance fraud. Shortly thereafter I received a check refunding my entire fare for unused travel.

    I was impressed with the manner in which Tin Leg worked through the stalemate and continued to communicate with me. They did not ignore my concerns and offered answers/solutions to my concerns. The entire process of filing a claim was solved within a two week period or less. I will use Tin Leg Travel Insurance in the future because of the manner in which they worked to solve this problem for me, the speed in which they responded and the continued communication throughout the process.

    Due to new Covid variant my flight got cancelled. I contacted Tin Leg and they immediately responded and advised me what to do and set up a telephone interview regarding my claim this Saturday.

    The process of filing a claim and receiving approval was straight forward and clear. I was impressed that it was approved in a timely manner. The refund is still being processed and i expect it shortly... Hopefully
