Tin Leg Travel Insurance Reviews

My husband went to a hospital ER in Croatia for what turned out to be a kidney infection. I called Tin Leg to inform them he was there and might need to be admitted, though in the end he only needed antibiotics.
I emailed the ER paperwork to Tin Leg, had a brief follow up phone call, and got the check soon after. This was not a large claim, under $100, but I was impressed with the way Tin Leg handled it. I will be using them again.

Customer service was not very helpful in answering questions about the insurance product that I was considering purchasing.I ended up reading the particulars about the policy details on my own.It would serve the company better if their representatives were more knowledgeable about the products that they offer and sell.

I would suggest not giving just a telephone number for assistance as accessing telephone service is not always the easiest. We had intermittant internet, but email was definitely easier than phoning. We were in Spain and purchased a phone with time/minutes to use within the country and communicate with friends that we have there. I tried calling the number on your website from this phone and got nowhere. I did search for an email address, got one and did get a response via email, so I'd suggest that this be equally available as a phone number.

I am unable to evaluate this insurance because my travels went smoothly and, consequently, had no need for assistance or to file a claim.

I thought the price was great for the policy.I always like to have travel insurance but don't want to spend a lot on it.This policy was perfect for me and have me a piece of mind while traveling.
