The policy was easy to purchase but everything after that was difficult. I have purchased 6 prior policies from Squaremouth and never previously needed to file a claim. I filed a claim for the first time after a recent trip and after a number of weeks without a response I called Tin Leg. The customer service representative informed me that they had misplaced my paperwork. A few weeks later I called back and received contradictory information from another representative. A few weeks later and after multiple phone calls my claim was rejected. I filed an appeal and this was also rejected after an inordinate amount of time and phone calls. I contacted the Zero Complaint team, and found no effective advocacy. I have since started purchasing travel insurance through a different company and no longer use Squaremouth.

I have used Squaremouth before on other large trips and have recommended this site to many people. I even recommended TinLeg to our friends who were traveling to Africa with us this past August,2015. They purchased a policy through Tin Leg on this recommendation.
Fortunately, I had not needed to file a claim in these past trips.

This past Africa trip did not happen for my husband and I and I needed to file a claim for the entire trip. That amount is over $ 17,000. To this day we have received less that $6500. I submitted all necessary paperwork, bills, credit card statements, etc. Still waiting for a smooth conclusion to this claim.

When my wife passed away causing a cancellation of our cruise to Antarctica, Tin Leg was very courteous, prompt, helpful and expedient. I received my claim award very soon after making the claim. Tin Leg and SquareMouth are the best!

Purchasing the policy on line was very easy. The policy was fine but the claim form was not clear on what was needed. When my claim is reviewed and I see the outcome, then I will know if what I thought I was covered was indeed correct. If that is the case, I will happily recommend this company

This is a fabulous service. For the same cost as the offered trip coverage, I found a policy on square four that included primary medical ( not secondary) and all other features. More benefits for the same amount of money. Worth the research since square four has pulled it all together for you.

Everything was clear and we bought the insurance. We never needed to file a claim so all we know is the purchasing experience.

Finding trip insurance can be a daunting task but your rep made it easy for me to choose the correct policy at the correct price.
