I became ill a couple days before the trip, running a high fever, etc. I was still hoping to make the trip but the evening before departure was still running a fever and feeling poorly. I went to Urgent Care and was tested and found to have Influenza A (despite having had a flu shot!). I was contagious and would be for at least a couple more days plus feeling poorly and was advised not to travel. I filed a claim and was very impressed with how quickly it was addressed. I emailed required documentation within a couple of hours of doing my phone interview and was notified a few hours later that my claim was approved and a check would be mailed shortly. It was so easy and fast. Thank you! I have purchased travel insurance through Tin Leg many times before but never had to file a claim till now. So impressed.
Our claim was handled very promptly and professionally.

However, on my claim, I would have appreciated a summary of charges that were paid and those that weren't (and why).

My flight was delayed for an entire day and when I contacted customer service about it the representative completely ignored what I had said and told me that I could only be compensated if my flight was delayed more than 6 hours. Last time I checked 24 was greater than 6. Ridiculously poor service. I can only imagine how frustrating this would have been if I was abroad.

Our trip last summer to Iceland and England and France needed full attention from Tin Leg because my wife fractured her foot one week into our six week journey. Your company and it's personal service contractor helped all the way. Then, about 8 weeks ago we received the last hospital lab bill from Grasse, France. Although we had closed the claim, your office promptly reimbursed us for the charge. Consequently we bought another full travel policy from Tin Leg for this last cruise ending just a week ago. We didn't need the insurance this time and of course we're not complaining about that. But when we learned last year that you never need insurance until you DO, and that immediate help and financial resources reduces the stress and worry, that reminder prompted us to stay with Tin Leg. We will purchase another policy this fall for our next Germany trip and cruise.
Wife got the flu while on a cruise. Tin Leg was very (extremely) responsive during claim process and reimbursed us for the doctor and medication. Very happy and will use them again for next trip.

The claim process was personal and speedy. The claims rep called me at the appointed time, lustened patiently to my story and approved our claim within 24 hours of my submission of the completed claim firm. I would highly recommend both Tin Keg and Squaremouth!
