Tin Leg customers praise the provider’s customer service, especially when making changes to their coverage or trip details. However, some have expressed frustration with the claims process, particularly regarding the amount of documentation required.
I have used Squaremouth to purchase insurance for a number of trips and, thankfully, have never had to file a claim or ask for assistance until now. While the Tin Leg investigation process took awhile and was very thorough, staff was unfailingly kind and respectful, every request for additional information was reasonable, and, ultimately, the claim was approved and paid. All in all, it took about two months. I could not have asked for a better experience after the disappointment of having had to cancel an important trip. Thank you, Squaremouth
and Tin Leg.
Easy to purchase, and helpline works, but there is a long lag to getting reimbursed if you need to file a claim.
Everything went well with your company personnel. They were clear in their explanations. of the product and we purchased it. We have a claim to make on a purchased tour in Rome we could not attend on May 9 at 1:30 pm due to a missed connection of our Rome flight (May 8) at Dulles airport in Washington DC due to a late departure take off at Jacksonville airport which was per United Airlines caused by mechanical problems. We arrived in Rome about 13 hours after we were scheduled to, missing our tour.
Have an intial intv scheduled.
This is my most trusted go-to travel insurance company that I have used many times. They are very easy to communicate with, are very professional and always take time to answer my questions. I only had to file a claim once, and it was truly painless and I was compensated quickly.
When traveling in a foreign country it is reassuring to know that we were covered in the case of a medical emergency. We did not need the coverage, as it turns out, but still glad we paid the relatively few dollars to have peace of mind. It was easy to get the policy that was right for us and the whole process was easy.
The person i talked with prior to purchasing was very personable and knowledgeable
Fortunately, we did not experience any incidents that required insurance claim, but was reassuring that we had coverage during our travels
Website is easy to use, I could compare many aspects of different policies. My travel tends to include more remote areas and more adventurous activities, and I had to read the fine print on each policy to see if my planned activities were covered. Perhaps Tin Leg could summarize more of that info? For example, mountain biking, river rafting, etc.
So far everything has been good. I called before we left to tell Tin Leg that the 7 day cross Atlantic cruise which was to get us to England was canceled. I explained that my hotel in New York was non-refundable, and that I was looking for airfare to get us to England, so we would be able to continue with the remainder of our trip. I was told to wait until after my return home, and then make a claim. Hopefully, Tin Leg is responsive to my claim and that expenses will be covered. Now I need to figure out how to make a claim.
