Some of the info needed is hard to get when you need information from a,year ago and how are you suppose to know to keep so much just in case you have a claim!!
My trip was in October/November 2024. I purchased a "cancel for any reason policy", approximately $1700.00. On this trip , a flight was cancelled, then able to reschedule for the next day, but as a result I had to pay for a pre-booked night at a B & B in Falkland Islands due to late cancellation. This should be covered in my policy. I have spent the last 3+ months trying to get TInLeg to pay this claim, approximately $165.00. They have asked for a ridiculous amount of documentation, which I have supplied, and still deny the claim. The two friends I was traveling with made a similar request to their travel insurance company, and they were paid immediately , and without having to submit any additional receipts/statements, etc. I feel they have no intention to honor any claim, and they hope that most clients will just "give up trying" due to the frustration and time-wasting tactics they create.
While on travel I called to make inquiries because my husband was injured. I spoke to several different representatives, with several different answers to my questions. That was frustrating.
Agents were very helpful in determining which plan to take.
