My wife had severe pain while we were on a cruise. We were docked in Panama City at the time. The ships Dr. suspected she was having a kidney stone attack. She was sent by ambulance to a hospital for a scan and it confirmed his diagnosis. She required immediate surgery to remove it. I called Tin Leg at 12:20AM on January 9th from the hospital and spoke to Brittany and she was helpful. She gave me a case number #35917 to refer to if I call again. I paid all the expenses out of pocket and sent all the bills to them when we returned to the ship on January 17th. We returned home after the cruise on March 24th and completed a telephone interview with Erin Sparkman on March 28th. She was very nice but claimed Tin Leg did not receive all the documents I know I sent. I resubmitted all the documents once again. I submitted a claim that day with claim #25978-01 and sent some other required documentation to them by certified mail. They should have it by now. I am looking forward to a quick drama free payment on this claim and I would appreciate any assistance you can provide. This is my first experience with Squaremouth and you were highly recommended by my travel agent Travel with Alan. If my experience is favorable I will certainly use your services again. My wife and I travel often. We love cruises.
Our original party was 6 persons, one of whom had to cancel prior to the trip. The coverage of a “cancellation for any reason” was honored and reimbursed promptly.
Aside from what I felt was an unnecessarily complicated documentation process, Tin Leg’s claim process was smooth and straightforward.

The process went smoothly. There was a slight delay in receiving my payment once my claim was approved. All the employees I had contacted were very pleasant, professional and helpful. They responded in a timely manner. Overall, it was a fairly low stress experience. The process took approximately 42 calendar days from the date I filed my claim until the money was deposited into my bank account.
My travel details changed and it was easy to transfer my original policy to the new trip!

Called Tin Leg before my trip to double check the policy was in force and received great customer service from a young lady visiting with me about questions I had and confirming policy was in place. I took a copy of the coverage summary and Tin Leg contact information on the trip but fortunately did not need to file a claim. Would definitely use Tin Leg on my next rip.
