My claim was denied several weeks after it was filed. I was told my insurance ended the day I arrived as I did not have a return ticket. There was no mention of a return ticket requirement when I purchased the insurance. We bought the insurance for a 3 month period and planned to either sail north on our own vessel at the end of the 3 month period or attempt to extend the policy. I have filed a complaint with the Florida Bureau of Consumer affairs and the Insurance Commission.

Fortunately, I didn't have to use my travel insurance, but I did need to make a change prior to my trip to the coverage. The representative I spoke to was very helpful and it was an easy process.

The claim procedure was very straight forward. The rep I spoke to was very helpful and explained things thoroughly. I appreciated her telling me how long it would take to process - the time frame she gave me was accurate!
We had to change our departure and return dates after executing the policy. I couldn't reach a service agent by phone due to a large volume of calls and sent an email to the policy service department and they responded within a day or two acknowledging the dates of travel.
