Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
I did not go the trip. I had to cancel for health reasons and Trawick worked with me to get a refund that was not covered by the travel company. I was very pleased with the way they worked with me.
You purchase insurance in case you have to cancel your trip as well as if something goes wrong during your trip. We cancelled our trip due to multiple reasons. One being Delta changed flights both ways which would have meant we would have to stay 2 additional nights in the hotel one before the cruise and one after. There was also a medical condition that factored into our cancelling our trip. Our Cruise Deposit was non refundable and the insurance said our cancellation was "not a Sudden and unforeseen event." Purchasing the insurance gives you a false sense of security, because they decide under what circumstances they give a refund.
Trawick customer service is very nice and helpful. But the claims process has been very tedious and slow. I'm hoping we can get this resolved soon!

The process of submitting evidence of an expense was slow. I had to resubmit documents. Also, when I submitted the claim for me and my spouse, we were assigned 2 claim numbers and it was confusing as to which claim I needed to submit information. The online interface was clunky but when I talked to a real person, they were very helpful.
I filed a claim but have not heard anything yet.

My experience with Squaremouth has been excellent. So far my experience with Trawick has not been good. They are requesting additional medical records, their letter requests records back to 2003. Apparently that was a typo and it should have been 2023. I asked for a new letter with correct dates which I haven’t received yet.

I had issues at the beginning of the claim process with the amount of documentation Trawick requested, but with Squaremouth’s assistance, the claim was handled quickly and satisfactorily.
Although all documentation was submitted electronically.th process at the end seemed to stop. After a 203 week hiatus I contacted the company to find the status of the claim yet heard nothing back until Squaremouth went to bat for me. Then the claim was resolved and the matter settled quickly.
They have been very helpful and willing to help. The only thing dont like is the emails that I keep receiving stating they need more information when they havent reviewed it yet when I call to find out what information they still need
They have not completed review of my claim after waiting for four months! I’m completely disappointed with this company and would never recommend them. They’ve been given every piece of information they asked for more than once and I still have not received a check. Shame on them, only David Hosey actually tried to move the process along and failed. There’s no reason this claim should be dragging on except that Trawick just doesn’t want to pay!
I am guessing that 5 stars is the highest rating. I would give them 10 if it was available. Everything happened very seamlessly. I have used Squaremouth in the past and will continue to use them. Trawick was new to me but they were excellent. No issues, easy peasy. Thanks so very much! I highly recommend them both!
From the outset, there was quite a delay shifting from squaremouth to another party, and finally landing with a third party.
There may be cultural differences at work, so excuse my ignorance of your customs. The baggage that was destroyed by American Airlines was a gift from my husband.
Typically, in the states, we do not as for receipts when receiving gifts from our spouse. The third party demanded a receipt and informed me the burden of proof was entirely mine.
The fact that this luggage was transported, traceable, and usable from IND to RDU to FFT, to SOF and made it the entire journey until CLT to IND was completely inconsequential to the third party.
To my knowledge, American Airlines, the perpetrator of the permanent damage was never contacted, despite detailed tracking information before and after the damage and repair request.
I was also instructed to go to a shoe repair shop or luggage store for damage assessment. This is one reason American Airlines no longer offers baggage repair. These services no longer exist in our area.
Customer service is not the strong suit of squaremouth.
