Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
Trip insurance was purchased online. When my traveling companion was unable to travel and had to cancel because of health reason, it was in my best interest to cancel also.
I filed a claim and when I determined exactly what I needed to submit for my claim to be settled, it was settled. A check was sent for the amount claimed.

I had to cancel my trip at the last minute. I filed the claim for trip cancellation. It was easy to fill out the form, uploaded it together with the supporting documents. I got an email confirming the upload. I did not get any feedback on the status. It took about 3 weeks for the reimbursement check to show up. That was quite efficient. Fortunately, I purchase the insurance.
It’s hard for me to get assistance
We filed a claim on January 17, 2024, using the eclaims1@cbpinsure.com and travelteam@cbpinsure.com, but still haven't heard from the insurance.
Here is the claim:
We booked our trip through Travel with Alan (booking #6R2WXM) on October 18, 2023, with airline flights (Delta 1460 at 6:10am on 1/12 from Seattle to Los Angeles) confirmed via electronic ticket delivery (eTicket Receipts 0068069941426 for Jenny Mattson and 0068069941427 for John Mattson) received on December 19, 2023. We were suggested by Travel with Alan to stay one night at hotel near Sea-Tac airport prior to departure. We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott on January 12. We took the Uber to the airport 2:45am in the morning of January 13. We arrived at the airport at 3:00am (>3 hours before scheduled departure), only to be told by Delta Airlines that our booking did not exist. We were rebooked on the next flight available, and ended up missing our Discover Princess’ boat departure from the Port of Los Angeles by 6 minutes. We ended up took the flight at 5:35pm on the same day January 13 to get home in Seattle.
As I tried four times online claim form, it was not succeeded. I am uploading the documents through this email. If your need additional information or documents, please let me know. Thank you, Jenny Mattson
All the additional information were uploaded on the email. If you need any other additional information or documents, I would be happy to send it to you.
I just fine navigating it on the computer is alittle challenging. Was so very appreciative that one of my travel partners was contacted by phone so the situation could better be explained and the agent informed us our travel was not "canceled" as we indicated on the form, but it was "interrupted". We thought since our flight was canceled because it could not get to our airport due to adverse weather elsewhere and we could not get on another flight to accommodate us to our destination, our trip was canceled. Human to human contact is so much better!! Thank you for assisting us in receiving our trip refund in a timely manner. I will definitely recommend Trawick insurance to other travelers.
Filed a claim 5 days ago. Did receive an acknowledgement but nothing else so far. We had mechanical delays to flights, missed connection, got to cruise 8 hrs later thane expected. Missed excursion, dinner, etc.
A contact phone number to address questions. Unable to call to clarify process. Overall satisfactory with response. An agent called Precious called me to clarify claims. She was delightful to talk with and was knowledgeable in answering questions..I thank her..
We filed a claim with Nationwide/claim no 186142.
On Dec. 28, 2023 Nationwide confirmed that they had received all the requested documents and were processing the claim. They asked that we allow them the time that they needed to do so.
On Jan. 11 we asked about the status of the claim. They confirmed that they had received our email but said nothing about the status of the claim.
On Jan 23 we again contacted them and received the same confimation that they had received the request for a status on the claim
On the 23 of Jan. I spoke to an agent about the status and she said that it was waiting for a Supervisior to review because it was a high dollar review. She said to call back in two weeks. Basicly we are getting the run around.
Our next step after two weeks will be to file a claim with the Texas Insurance review board and obtain legal guidance.
Not only did I experience hotel and food costs, but my trip was delayed by 16 hours. Plus I was stranded in an airport late at night without any help from the airline. As a female I had to walk in a dangerous city at night to find accommodation.
Also in the trip my bagged was delayed for 4 days and was damaged. So far I have received no compensation and very little communication.
I tried calling the 24 helpline but the office was closed😓
I received conflicting information about my policy from Trawick Internarional. My questions had to be escalated to a supervisor who corrected all the information that was initially shared.
I submitted my claim and am hoping for a speedy turnaround and positive outcome.
