I filed my claim on 12/26/2023 and sent a follow up email the same date. As of 1/09/24, I have not received any response.
Lots of stalling and delay. We sent lots of medical info supporting the fact my wife was unable to embark on the trip due to orthopedic issues. Still no response or reimbursement from them. Frustrated!!

It took a full 30 days but it was paid and I’m happy with the result
The carrier made filing a demanding process even though they did eventually pay. When I furnished everything they requested on the claim paperwork they continued to ask for more information. The additional information they requested seemed to be a delaying tactic since I had already sent the information. I had to contact the travel agent and have them send and confirm the same information I had already sent. It took 3 months to get a refund of my cruise deposit. Also not easy to reach via phone they wanted me to do everything via computer.
I was injured about two months before my trip's departure. When it became obvious that I would not be able to travel, my daughter started the claim process. It all proceeded smoothly. The claim payment was made without any problems. Will definitely use Trawick again.

My trip was canceled due to a family member who we were traveling with, developed hypothyroidism, and blood clots in the lungs, after having treatment for bladder cancer. The medical form indicated his recent diagnosis. I was told that the medical form submitted appeared to be a list of his recent medical visits. Although the last entry indicated his new health findings. My sister bought insurance through another company and she was refunded her deposit. I only filed for my original deposit as we never made final payment. Will never use this company again, or recommend it.
While I successfully was reimbursed for my claim, I had to fight for it. "Nationwide is on your side" . . . unless you file a claim?
