Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
I was very disappointed in the process. I purchased the insurance through a reference of the place I was going to stay. When I called and ask if the policy would cover hurricanes the customer Service agent said yes. To my surprise when I filed the claim it was denied because the storm had been forecasted when I cancel the trip! I cancelled due to a hurricane coming and island being closed/evacuated because it was going to be flooded due to storm surge,
I had a 24-hour travel delay due to a canceled flight. I made a claim for 1 day of pre-paid expenses at my destination plus an expense not reimbursed by the airline. Trawick sent a check for the full amout I requested, about 5 weeks after I submitted the claim. It was A LOT of documents to upload to make the claim. I'll use them for my next trip, and Squaremouth was easy to use.
The downside is that the website Trawick uses to track claims (cbpconnect.com) never updated, so I did not know what was going on. Minus1 star for that.
Claim was handled fairly promptly and accurately. The only negatives: the online function for some reason did not work and I had to fill in and scan the claim; also, other documentation was requested that really was included in the first information I sent, thus delaying the process, although not substantially
The war in Israel is what caused the trip to be cancelled. We have submitted a claim and have heard nothing as of today (it’s only been 2 1/2 weeks).
I filed my claim 3 weeks ago, but have not heard from anyone.
Trip was cancelled due to terrorist attacks in visiting country. Was very hard to find out how to submit claim and figure out a policy number that actually worked on site. Had to call to get this number. It was not the same as what was emailed. It has been a few weeks since submitting claim and still have not received any information on getting refunded.

Still nothing received after 2 months
While in port at Cannes, France my traveling companion fell and received a compound fracture. I was forced to go pack up everything and stay with her in Cannes as she had surgery immediately following her arrival at the hospital. I had to get a hotel room and Uber back and forth to the hospital every day. She had a policy also that helped greatly for her. I’m trying to gather all the documentation of mine together to file on mine as I need to get some of my expenses back.
After submitting the required information. My claim was processed quickly.
I contacted the 24-hour international support number as soon as it became evident that my husband was too sick to travel. They were willing to help me find a doctor for him, but the hotel was able to find one sooner. In terms of rebooking flights, they basically said that I was on my own to do that. Our hotel was fully booked and would only let us stay one additional night. Their only advice for finding a new hotel was for me to get on hotels.com and find something myself. That was not very helpful; I was expecting more assistance.
I couldn't submit my claim online because the claim submission website didn't recognize my policy number and wouldn't let me set up an account. I called them several times for assistance (with long hold times) but they finally told me to just email the claim form with all supporting information. That was a week ago and I still haven't received any confirmation that they received my claim, just a short reply that said they had received my email and to not reply to their email. Since I couldn't submit online, I can't track the status of my claim. So far I'm not very satisfied with the claim submission procedure, but we'll see how it goes.
We had to cancel our trip. I have filed a claim with Trawick, and awaiting their response to our request for a refund for the coast of our trip.

Our claim was denied because my wife was not hospitalized for mental health issues that prevented us for taking our trip.
